Exciting milestone! At 7 months, breast milk or formula remains the primary nutrition source. Solids are complementary at this stage. Here's a general guide:
Textures: Smooth purees transitioning to soft mashed foods.
Good first foods: Single-grain cereals, pureed sweet potato, butternut squash, peas, apple, pear, banana, and well-cooked pureed meats.
Schedule: Aim for 2-3 small solid "meals" per day, each about 2-4 tablespoons.
Avoid: Honey (before 12 months), cow's milk as a drink, added salt or sugar, and any allergens your pediatrician hasn't cleared.
Always introduce one new food at a time and wait 3-4 days before adding another to watch for reactions. Does your baby have any known allergies on her profile?
