Coffee

Introduction

This System Requirements Document (SRD) outlines the specifications for the "Coffee" project, which aims to create a portfolio website for a coffee shop. The website will feature 3D and scroll-driven components to enhance user engagement and provide a unique browsing experience.

System Overview

The "Coffee" project is designed to showcase the offerings and ambiance of a coffee shop through an interactive and visually appealing website. The primary goal is to attract casual visitors and provide them with an immersive experience that reflects the coffee shop's brand and atmosphere.

Functional Requirements

  • As a casual visitor, I should be able to view the coffee shop's portfolio with 3D elements to enhance visual appeal.
  • As a casual visitor, I should experience scroll-driven components that guide me through the website content seamlessly.

User Personas

  • Casual Visitor: Individuals who are interested in exploring the coffee shop's offerings and ambiance through an engaging online experience.

Core User Flows

  • Casual Visitor navigates to the homepage -> experiences 3D elements -> scrolls through content -> explores coffee shop offerings and ambiance.

Visuals Colors and Theme

  • primary: #6B4F4F (a rich coffee brown)
  • primary_light: #A68A8A (a lighter coffee tint for hover states)
  • secondary: #D9BBA9 (a warm cream for headlines and emphasis)
  • accent: #FF7F50 (a vibrant coral for CTAs and active states)
  • highlight: #FFD700 (a golden hue for hover states and notifications)
  • bg: #F5F5DC (a soft beige background)
  • surface: rgba(107, 79, 79, 0.8) (a semi-transparent coffee brown for panels)
  • text: #3E2723 (a deep espresso for primary text)
  • text_muted: #8D6E63 (a muted mocha for secondary text)
  • border: rgba(107, 79, 79, 0.2) (a subtle coffee brown for borders)

Signature Design Concept

The homepage will feature an interactive 3D coffee shop environment using @react-three/fiber and @react-three/drei. Visitors will navigate through a virtual coffee shop where sections of the website are represented as different areas within the shop, such as the counter, seating area, and menu board. As users scroll, they will seamlessly transition between these areas, with animations triggered by gsap ScrollTrigger. This immersive experience will allow users to explore the coffee shop's offerings as if they were physically present.

Interaction Model & Motion Direction

The landing page will employ a "parallax" interaction model, providing layered depth via scroll. Decorative elements like coffee beans and steam will translate at different speeds, creating a dynamic and engaging storytelling experience. Internal pages will maintain a "static" interaction model to ensure clarity and ease of navigation.

Non-Functional Requirements

  • The website must be responsive and accessible across various devices and screen sizes.
  • Load times should be optimized to ensure a smooth user experience.
  • The website should be secure and protect user data.

Tech Stack

  • Frontend: React for Web
  • Backend: Python with FastAPI
  • Database: MySQL or MariaDB, using Alembic for migrations
  • AI Tools: None specified
  • Local Orchestration: Docker
  • Server-side Orchestration: Kubernetes

Assumptions and Constraints

  • The website will primarily target casual visitors interested in the coffee shop's offerings.
  • No additional AI capabilities are required for this project.
  • The design and functionality must align with the coffee shop's brand identity.
