1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account on NeighbourOS, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. NeighbourOS is a community management platform designed for apartment complexes, and your use of the platform is subject to the following terms.
2. Account Registration
You must provide accurate and complete information during the registration process. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Each resident account is tied to a verified apartment unit within your registered community.
3. Community Features
NeighbourOS provides access to community features including event planning, issue reporting, voting, amenity booking, payment processing, visitor management, and community marketplace. Use of these features must comply with your society's bylaws and local regulations.
4. Content & Conduct
You agree not to post offensive, misleading, or harmful content on community forums, event pages, or the marketplace. NeighbourOS reserves the right to remove content that violates community standards. Disputes between residents should be resolved through the Dispute Resolution Center.
5. Payments & Transactions
Maintenance dues, amenity bookings, and marketplace transactions processed through NeighbourOS are subject to applicable payment gateway terms. NeighbourOS acts as a facilitator and is not liable for payment disputes between residents and service providers.
6. Termination
NeighbourOS may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or your community management committee requests removal. Upon moving out of your registered apartment, you should deactivate your account through the Profile settings.

We collect personal information you provide during registration including your name, phone number, email address, and apartment unit details. We also collect usage data such as feature interactions, event RSVPs, and community engagement metrics to improve the platform.
2. How We Use Your Data
Your information is used to provide community services, process payments, manage visitor entries, and deliver notices and announcements. We may use aggregated, anonymized data to generate society analytics and reports visible to community administrators.
3. Data Sharing
Your profile information is visible to other verified residents in your community as configured in your privacy settings. We do not sell personal data to third parties. Payment information is processed securely through PCI-compliant payment gateways and is never stored on our servers.
4. Security Measures
NeighbourOS employs industry-standard encryption, secure authentication, and regular security audits to protect your data. Security alerts and visitor management logs are stored with restricted access to ensure resident safety and privacy.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to access, modify, or delete your personal data at any time through your Profile settings. You can opt out of non-essential notifications while maintaining access to critical community alerts. Data portability requests can be submitted through the app.
