Absolutely. All data transmitted through Wooden-Interview is protected using end-to-end encryption. We comply with GDPR and India's Personal Data Protection standards. Your interview sessions, transcriptions, and analytics are stored securely and never shared with third parties without your explicit consent.
The Interviewee role is designed for candidates — you get real-time transcription of your spoken answers, contextual improvement suggestions, and post-interview analytics on your strengths and weaknesses. The Interviewer role is built for recruiters and hiring managers — you get candidate response transcription, automated feedback generation, structured evaluation tools, and session management features.
Yes. You can switch your role at any time from your Account Settings on the Dashboard. Your historical data, saved library items, and analytics are preserved when you switch. Note that the active session interface adapts immediately to reflect your new role's toolset.
No credit card is required to create a free account. Wooden-Interview offers a generous free tier for both Interviewees and Interviewers. Premium features — such as advanced analytics, extended session recording, and custom question libraries — are available on paid plans billed in INR.
Wooden-Interview uses an AI-powered speech recognition engine that runs in the background while your interview is in progress. It captures audio (with your permission), converts speech to text in real time, and surfaces contextual suggestions — all without interrupting your conversation. The assistant remains invisible to your interviewer by design.
By default, audio is processed in real time and not stored after your session ends. If you opt into session recording for post-interview review, recordings are encrypted and stored in your private account. You can delete recordings at any time from your Sessions dashboard. We never use your audio to train AI models without explicit consent.
Yes. Wooden-Interview is accessible via any modern web browser on desktop and mobile. For the best real-time transcription experience during live interviews, we recommend using the app on a desktop or laptop with a quality microphone. Mobile access is ideal for reviewing analytics, browsing the question library, and managing sessions.
Your account and data remain accessible in a free tier state — no data is deleted upon cancellation. You retain access to your saved questions, session history summaries, and analytics for up to 12 months. If you choose to delete your account entirely, all data is permanently removed within 30 days per our data retention policy.
No. The Interviewee assistant is completely invisible to interviewers. Suggestions, transcription overlays, and AI prompts are only visible on your personal device. Wooden-Interview is specifically designed so that no external signals or hints are detectable during a live interview session.
Yes. Interviewers can create and manage custom question sets from the Library page — organizing behavioral, technical, and STAR-method questions into structured interview templates. These can be reused across sessions and shared with other team members on premium plans.
