wise-system System Requirements Document

Introduction

The wise-system project aims to develop a simple single-page design for a to-do application. This document outlines the system requirements, user personas, core user flows, and design specifications for the project.

System Overview

The wise-system is a straightforward to-do application designed to provide users with an intuitive interface to manage their tasks efficiently. The application will be a single-page design, focusing on simplicity and ease of use.

Functional Requirements

  • As a User, I should be able to add a new task to my to-do list.
  • As a User, I should be able to edit an existing task.
  • As a User, I should be able to delete a task from my to-do list.
  • As a User, I should be able to mark a task as completed.
  • As a User, I should be able to view all tasks in a single-page layout.

User Personas

  • User: The primary user of the application who manages their personal to-do list.

Core User Flows

  • User opens the application -> User adds a new task -> Task appears in the list.
  • User selects a task -> User edits the task details -> Updated task is saved.
  • User selects a task -> User deletes the task -> Task is removed from the list.
  • User marks a task as completed -> Task is visually distinguished as completed.

Visuals Colors and Theme

  • primary: #4A90E2 (a calming blue)
  • primary_light: #A6C8FF (a lighter blue for hover states)
  • secondary: #F5A623 (a warm orange for emphasis)
  • accent: #50E3C2 (a vibrant mint for CTAs and active states)
  • highlight: #F8E71C (a bright yellow for notifications)
  • bg: #FFFFFF (a clean white background)
  • surface: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.9) (a slightly translucent white for panels)
  • text: #333333 (a dark gray for primary text)
  • text_muted: #777777 (a lighter gray for secondary text)

Signature Design Concept

The homepage of the wise-system will feature an interactive "Task Carousel" where tasks are displayed as cards in a rotating 3D carousel. Users can click and drag to rotate the carousel, bringing different tasks into focus. Hovering over a task card will expand it slightly, revealing more details. This dynamic interaction will be built using @react-three/fiber for 3D rendering and framer-motion for smooth animations. The carousel will provide a visually engaging way to navigate tasks, making task management both fun and efficient.

Interaction Model & Motion Direction

The interaction model for the wise-system's landing page will be "animated." The single-page design will incorporate moderate scroll-triggered reveals and hover transitions to enhance user engagement. The task carousel will feature spring physics for interactive elements, providing a polished and responsive user experience.

Non-Functional Requirements

  • The application should load quickly and respond to user interactions without noticeable delay.
  • The design should be responsive and function well on both desktop and mobile devices.
  • The application should be accessible, adhering to WCAG 2.1 guidelines.

Tech Stack

  • Frontend: React for Web
  • Backend: Not applicable (single-page design)
  • Database: Not applicable (single-page design)
  • AI Models: Not applicable
  • AI Tools: Not applicable
  • Local Orchestration: Not applicable
  • Server-side Orchestration: Not applicable

Assumptions and Constraints

  • The application will be a single-page design with no server-side components.
  • All data will be managed client-side, with no persistent storage.
  • The design will prioritize simplicity and ease of use.

Glossary

  • Task: An item on the user's to-do list.
  • Carousel: A rotating display of task cards that users can interact with.
