System Requirements Document (SRD) for Urban-Products

1. Introduction

The Urban-Products project aims to create a comprehensive e-commerce platform that allows users to browse, search, and purchase a wide variety of products, similar to Amazon. This platform will cater to general shoppers in India, providing an intuitive and seamless shopping experience. The system will also enable sellers to list their products directly, creating a dynamic marketplace.

This document outlines the system requirements for Urban-Products, including functional and non-functional requirements, user personas, design concepts, and technical specifications. The system will also support selective re-run capability for user-triggered SRD regeneration, ensuring flexibility in updating requirements as the project evolves.

Immersive Product Showcase with Interactive Filters

The homepage of Urban-Products will feature an immersive product showcase with a dynamic grid layout that adjusts based on user preferences. The grid will include:

  • Live product previews: Hovering over a product will display a quick view with animations, such as rotating images or zoom-in effects.
  • Interactive filters: Filters will appear as floating buttons that users can drag and drop to customize their search experience. For example:
    • Dragging "Price Range" to the top will prioritize budget-friendly options.
    • Dropping "Brand" into the filter zone will display only selected brands.

The transitions between sections will include parallax scrolling effects, creating depth and engagement. Micro-interactions will be incorporated, such as glowing edges on product cards when hovered and a ripple effect on buttons when clicked.

The design will also feature a personalized recommendation carousel that adapts based on user behavior, showcasing trending products and deals.
