Project Name: turbo-lead

1. Introduction

The turbo-lead project aims to develop a robust lead management system tailored to streamline the process of tracking, managing, and converting leads for businesses. This system will empower sales teams to efficiently handle inquiries, monitor lead progress, and optimize conversion rates. Designed with scalability and user-friendliness in mind, turbo-lead will cater to the specific needs of businesses in India, ensuring compatibility with local standards, timezone (IST), and currency (INR).

This document outlines the system requirements for turbo-lead, including functional and non-functional specifications, user personas, design concepts, and technical considerations.

2. System Overview

turbo-lead is a centralized platform for managing leads, inquiries, and customer interactions. It will provide tools for sales agents to organize leads, track their status, and collaborate effectively. The system will also feature analytics to help businesses understand lead performance and identify areas for improvement.

Key features include:

  • Lead tracking and categorization.
  • Automated reminders and follow-ups.
  • Integration with communication channels (email, SMS, etc.).
  • Customizable dashboards for analytics and reporting.
  • Role-based access control for secure data management.

The system will be accessible via web and mobile applications, ensuring flexibility for users on the go.

3. Functional Requirements

Story Points:

  • As a Sales Agent, I should be able to add new leads with details like name, contact information, and inquiry type.
  • As a Sales Agent, I should be able to update the status of leads (e.g., contacted, in progress, converted).
  • As a Sales Agent, I should be able to set reminders for follow-ups with leads.
  • As a Manager, I should be able to view analytics on lead conversion rates and team performance.
  • As a Manager, I should be able to assign leads to specific sales agents.
  • As a Customer, I should be able to submit inquiries through a simple form.
  • As Admin, I should be able to manage user roles and permissions.

Manages system configurations, user roles, and permissions to ensure secure and efficient operations.

To reflect the professional yet dynamic nature of turbo-lead, the following unique color palette has been designed:

Concept: Interactive Lead Flow Visualization

The homepage of turbo-lead will feature an interactive lead flow visualization. Users will see a dynamic, animated pipeline where leads are represented as glowing orbs moving through various stages (e.g., Inquiry, Contacted, In Progress, Converted).

  • Animation: Orbs will pulse and change color as they progress through the pipeline, visually representing their status.
  • Interaction: Users can click on any orb to view detailed information about the lead, including contact details, notes, and reminders.
  • Transitions: Smooth transitions will occur as users navigate between stages, with micro-interactions like hover effects and subtle zoom-ins.
  • Background: A gradient backdrop that shifts from soft blue to coral red, symbolizing the journey from inquiry to conversion.

This design will make the system instantly engaging, providing users with a vivid and memorable experience.

7. Non-Functional Requirements

  • The system must support concurrent access for up to 500 users.
  • Response time for any action should not exceed 2 seconds.
  • The system must comply with GDPR and Indian data protection regulations.
  • Ensure compatibility with major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge) and mobile platforms (iOS, Android).
  • Provide multilingual support, including English and Hindi.
