System Requirements Document (SRD)

Project Name: topaz-project

1. Introduction

The topaz-project is a mobile and web application designed to replicate the functionality and design of the reference app, mosafa.vercel.app. The app will maintain the minimalist and user-friendly design of the original, with the only modification being the inclusion of the provided logo. This document outlines the system requirements for the development of the topaz-project.

2. System Overview

The topaz-project aims to deliver a seamless and intuitive user experience by replicating the functionality of the reference app. The system will consist of a web application and a mobile application, both sharing the same design and functionality. The app will feature:

  • A clean and minimalist interface.
  • Direct functionality without unnecessary complexity.
  • The provided logo as the central branding element.

3. Functional Requirements

User Stories:

  • As a User, I should be able to view the homepage with the provided logo prominently displayed.
  • As a User, I should be able to navigate through the app with a clean and intuitive interface.
  • As a User, I should be able to interact with features identical to those in the reference app.

4. User Personas

1. User

  • Description: The primary user of the app.
  • Goals: Navigate the app, interact with its features, and experience a seamless interface.
  • Pain Points: Complexity, cluttered design, and slow performance.

5. Visuals Colors and Theme

Color Palette:

The color palette is inspired by the provided logo and the reference app's aesthetic.

  • Background: #f0f4f8 (soft gray-blue)
  • Surface: #ffffff (pure white)
  • Text: #333333 (dark gray)
  • Accent: #0078d7 (bright blue from the logo)
  • Muted Tones: #d1e7dd (light green inspired by the leaves in the logo)

6. Signature Design Concept

Concept: Interactive Water Ripple Homepage

The homepage will feature an interactive water ripple effect inspired by the logo. When users hover over or click on the screen, ripples will spread outward, mimicking the movement of water.

Details:

  • Animation: Subtle ripples triggered by user interaction.
  • Transitions: Smooth fade-ins and fade-outs for elements.
  • Color Shifts: The ripple effect will subtly shift between the accent blue and muted green tones.
  • Micro-Interactions: Buttons and links will have a ripple effect when clicked, enhancing the water-inspired theme.

This design will make the app visually engaging and memorable while maintaining its minimalist aesthetic.

7. Non-Functional Requirements

  • Performance: The app must load within 2 seconds on both web and mobile platforms.
  • Scalability: The system should handle up to 10,000 concurrent users.
  • Accessibility: The app must comply with WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
  • Security: Ensure secure data transmission using HTTPS and implement robust authentication mechanisms.

Assumptions:

  • The app will replicate the reference design and functionality without additional features.
  • The provided logo will be the sole branding element.

Constraints:

  • The app must adhere to the visual and functional design of the reference app.
  • Development must be completed within the agreed timeline and budget.

10. Glossary

  • WCAG: Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
  • RDBMS: Relational Database Management System.
  • LLM: Large Language Model.
  • Docker: A tool for containerization.
  • Kubernetes: A system for automating deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.
