System Requirements Document (SRD)

Project Name: terra-business

1. Introduction

The purpose of this System Requirements Document (SRD) is to outline the functional and non-functional requirements for the terra-business project. This project is a website designed to showcase the ceramic business of Kavita Ashodia, based in India. The website will focus on displaying a catalog of tiles and bath fitting products, emphasizing their aesthetics and quality, while providing an easy way for potential customers to contact the business.

The website will not include e-commerce functionality but will serve as a visually appealing platform for product display and customer inquiries. Locale-specific considerations, such as Indian currency (₹) and timezone (IST), will be incorporated into the design.

"Interactive Tile Wall" Landing Page

The homepage will feature an interactive tile wall that mimics a real-life ceramic display. Visitors will see a grid of tiles and bath fitting images that they can hover over or click to reveal more details.

  • Hover Effect: When a user hovers over a tile, it will slightly "lift" with a subtle shadow effect, and the product name will appear.
  • Click Interaction: Clicking on a tile will open a modal with a larger image, product details, and a "Contact for Inquiry" button.
  • Dynamic Animation: The tile wall will have a smooth, cascading animation on page load, where tiles appear one by one, creating a visually stunning first impression.
  • Background: A soft, textured pattern resembling ceramic material will enhance the immersive experience.

This design will make the website memorable and align perfectly with the ceramic business's aesthetic appeal.

7. Non-Functional Requirements

  • The website must load within 3 seconds on a standard 4G connection.
  • The website must be responsive and compatible with major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge).
  • The system must support high-resolution images without compromising performance.
  • The contact form must be secure and prevent spam submissions.
