Project Idea: HelpConnect AI is an AI-powered web platform that connects users with nearby volunteers, NGOs, social organizations, and essential service providers. Users can describe their needs, such as food assistance, medical help, education support, plumbing, electrical work, or other services, and the system intelligently matches them with the most suitable local resource. All requests, matches, and service statuses are stored and tracked through a centralized database. Real World Impact: Many people struggle to find reliable help during emergencies or for essential daily services. HelpConnect AI bridges this gap by providing quick access to assistance and trusted service providers in the local community. The platform benefits vulnerable individuals, elderly citizens, disaster victims, and the general public while also helping NGOs, volunteers, and skilled workers reach people who need their services. AI Feature: The platform uses Natural Language Processing (NLP) to analyze user requests and automatically identify the type of help required. AI then recommends the most relevant volunteer, NGO, or service provider based on the request category, location, and availability. Tech Stack: • Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap • Backend: Python (Flask) • Database: MySQL • AI/NLP: Python, NLTK • APIs: Google Maps API for location services • Version Control: Git and GitHub Target Users: • General public seeking assistance or services • Volunteers • NGOs and social organizations • Plumbers, electricians, carpenters, mechanics, and other service providers
