Introduction

The purpose of this document is to outline the system requirements for the "sonic-halve" project. This project aims to enhance and extend the functionalities of the Ethereum Go client by integrating new features as requested by the user, Esi Mitley.

System Overview

The "sonic-halve" project is based on the Ethereum Go client, which is a widely used implementation of the Ethereum protocol. The project will incorporate additional features to improve its functionality and user experience.

Functional Requirements as Story Points

  • As a Developer, I should be able to halve the codebase of the Ethereum Go client to improve efficiency and maintainability.
  • As a User, I should be able to access new features that enhance the existing capabilities of the Ethereum Go client.
  • As an API Supervisor, I should be able to pre-resolve and integrate new features seamlessly into the system.

Signature Design Concept

The "sonic-halve" project will feature an interactive landing page that showcases a dynamic code transformation process. The homepage will simulate a "code halving" animation where lines of code visually split and reorganize into a more efficient structure. Users can interact with the animation by hovering over code segments to see before-and-after states. This concept will be implemented using motion/react for smooth transitions and interactions.

Landing Hero Motion Brief

The landing hero will depict a continuous loop of code lines being halved and reorganized. The animation will start with a cluttered codebase, which then undergoes a transformation to reveal a streamlined, efficient structure. The loop will last 10 seconds, with hover interactions allowing users to pause and examine specific code changes. The animation will be responsive, adjusting to different screen sizes while maintaining clarity and engagement.

Interaction Model & Motion Direction

The landing page will employ an "animated" interaction model. This will include moderate scroll-triggered reveals and hover transitions to enhance user engagement. The animation will focus on the transformation of the codebase, providing a clear narrative of efficiency improvement.

  • The system must maintain high performance and responsiveness during code transformations.
