sky-website

byPeer Zeeshan

Build a website that provides virtual numbers for the United States, United Kingdom, Russia, Pakistan, and India. Each number must have its own dedicated inbox to display OTP messages from any social media platform where the number is used. The service should be completely free, allowing users to select any country, copy a number, paste it into a social media platform, and receive/use the OTP immediately.

System Requirements Document (SRD)

Project Name: sky-website

1. Introduction

The sky-website project aims to provide a seamless platform for users to access free virtual phone numbers from the United States, United Kingdom, Russia, Pakistan, and India. These numbers will allow users to receive OTPs (One-Time Passwords) from social media platforms or other services requiring phone verification. The service will require user registration for access and will offer unlimited OTP reception, ensuring convenience and reliability for all users.

This document outlines the functional and non-functional requirements, user personas, design concepts, and technical specifications for the development of the sky-website.

2. System Overview

The sky-website will serve as a web-based platform where users can:

  1. Register and log in to access the service.
  2. Select a virtual phone number from one of the supported countries (US, UK, Russia, Pakistan, India).
  3. Copy the selected number and use it on social media platforms or other services for OTP-based verification.
  4. View OTP messages in a dedicated inbox for the selected number.

The platform will prioritize user experience by offering a clean interface, fast response times, and reliable OTP delivery. The service will be entirely free, making it accessible to a wide audience.

3. Functional Requirements

User Stories:

  • As a User, I should be able to register and log in to access the service.
  • As a User, I should be able to select a virtual number from the available countries (US, UK, Russia, Pakistan, India).
  • As a User, I should be able to copy the selected virtual number to my clipboard.
  • As a User, I should be able to view OTP messages in a dedicated inbox for the selected number.
  • As a User, I should be able to receive unlimited OTPs without restrictions.

4. User Personas

1. Registered User

  • Description: A user who has created an account on the platform to access virtual numbers and receive OTPs.
  • Goals:
    • Access virtual numbers for free.
    • Use the numbers for social media or other service verifications.
    • View OTPs in a dedicated inbox.
  • Pain Points:
    • Need for reliable and instant OTP delivery.
    • Easy-to-use interface for quick access to numbers.

5. Visuals Colors and Theme

Unique Color Palette for sky-website:

  • Background: #F5F9FF (Soft Sky Blue)
  • Surface: #FFFFFF (Pure White)
  • Text: #2C3E50 (Deep Charcoal)
  • Accent: #3498DB (Bright Azure Blue)
  • Muted Tones: #BDC3C7 (Light Gray)

This palette reflects a clean, professional, and approachable aesthetic, aligning with the platform's purpose of providing a reliable and user-friendly service.

6. Signature Design Concept

Interactive Globe Selector with Real-Time Animations

The homepage will feature a 3D interactive globe that users can rotate and zoom into. Each supported country (US, UK, Russia, Pakistan, India) will be highlighted with a glowing pin. When a user clicks on a pin:

  1. The globe will smoothly zoom in on the selected country.
  2. A sidebar will slide in from the right, displaying the list of available virtual numbers for that country.
  3. Hovering over a number will trigger a micro-interaction, such as a subtle glow or bounce effect.
  4. Clicking on a number will copy it to the clipboard, with a confirmation animation (e.g., a checkmark appearing briefly).

The globe will have a day-night cycle animation, reflecting the real-time timezone of the user. This feature will create an immersive and visually stunning first impression, making the platform memorable and engaging.

7. Non-Functional Requirements

  • Performance: The platform must handle up to 10,000 concurrent users without performance degradation.
  • Scalability: The system should be scalable to support additional countries and numbers in the future.
  • Security: User data, including registration details, must be encrypted and stored securely.
  • Availability: The service should maintain 99.9% uptime.
  • Localization: The platform should support English as the default language, with potential for adding other languages in the future.

8. Tech Stack

9. Assumptions and Constraints

  • Assumptions:

    • Users will have internet access to use the platform.
    • The platform will initially support only the specified countries (US, UK, Russia, Pakistan, India).
    • Users will comply with the terms of service and not misuse the platform.
  • Constraints:

    • The service must remain free for users.
    • The platform must comply with local regulations regarding virtual phone numbers and data privacy.

10. Glossary

  • OTP (One-Time Password): A temporary password used for user authentication.
  • Virtual Number: A phone number that is not tied to a physical SIM card or device but can receive messages.
  • Dedicated Inbox: A unique inbox assigned to each virtual number for receiving OTP messages.
  • Frontend: The user interface of the platform.
  • Backend: The server-side logic and database management of the platform.
