System Requirements Document (SRD)

1. Introduction

This document outlines the requirements for a fashion design chatbot that assists users in generating full design sketches. The chatbot aims to provide creative inspiration and streamline the design process for fashion designers, enthusiasts, and hobbyists, with a specific focus on streetwear design.

2. System Overview

The fashion design chatbot will leverage AI technology to generate full design sketches based on user inputs. It will provide users with a platform to explore creative ideas, experiment with patterns, silhouettes, colors, and styles, and produce complete fashion designs. The chatbot will be accessible via web and mobile platforms, ensuring ease of use and availability. The chatbot will emphasize streetwear as a primary design style focus. Additionally, the chatbot will include a feature to preview designs on a virtual model in 2D, enhancing user engagement and visualization.

3. Functional Requirements as Story Points

  • As a User, I should be able to input design preferences such as style, color palette, and fabric types.
  • As a User, I should be able to specify streetwear as a design style focus.
  • As a User, I should be able to receive full design sketches based on my inputs.
  • As a User, I should be able to refine generated designs by providing additional feedback.
  • As a User, I should be able to save and download the generated designs.
  • As a User, I should be able to view design suggestions based on current fashion trends, including streetwear trends.
  • As a User, I should be able to access a library of pre-designed templates for inspiration, including streetwear templates.
  • As a User, I should be able to preview my designs on a virtual model in 2D.
  • As an Admin, I should be able to manage user accounts and monitor chatbot usage.
  • As an Admin, I should be able to update the library of pre-designed templates, including streetwear templates.

4. User Personas

1. User

  • Fashion designers, enthusiasts, and hobbyists who want to create or explore fashion design ideas, with a particular interest in streetwear.
  • Needs: Creative inspiration, easy-to-use design tools, access to trends, streetwear-specific design options, and the ability to preview designs on a virtual model in 2D.

2. Admin

  • Responsible for managing the chatbot system, user accounts, and content updates.
  • Needs: Administrative tools to monitor usage and update resources, including streetwear templates and trends.

5. Visuals Colors and Theme

The chatbot will adopt a modern and stylish theme to resonate with the fashion industry, particularly the streetwear aesthetic. Suggested color palette:

  • Primary Colors: Black (#000000), White (#FFFFFF), and Gold (#FFD700) for a luxurious and elegant feel.
  • Secondary Colors: Neon Green (#39FF14), Electric Blue (#7DF9FF), and Charcoal Gray (#36454F) to align with the bold and urban streetwear vibe.
  • Fonts: Use sans-serif fonts like "Montserrat" or "Lato" for a clean and professional look, with bold weights for emphasis.
  • Icons: Minimalistic and edgy icons inspired by streetwear culture to enhance user experience.

6. Non-Functional Requirements

  • The chatbot must respond to user inputs within 2 seconds to ensure a seamless user experience.
  • The system must support high-resolution image generation for design sketches.
  • The chatbot must be scalable to handle up to 10,000 concurrent users.
  • The system must ensure data security and privacy for user inputs and saved designs.
  • The chatbot must be accessible on both web and mobile platforms.
  • The virtual model preview feature must render designs in real-time in 2D with high visual fidelity.

7. Tech Stack

Frontend

  • React for Web
  • React Native for Mobile App

Backend

  • Python
  • FastAPI

Database

  • MySQL or MariaDB (preferred for relational data storage)
  • MongoDB (for storing design templates and user preferences)

Assumptions

  • Users will have basic knowledge of fashion design concepts.
  • The chatbot will primarily focus on sketching full designs rather than individual elements.
  • The system will be used globally, requiring support for multiple languages in the future.
  • Streetwear will be a prominent design style focus, appealing to users interested in urban and contemporary fashion.
  • Users will find the virtual model preview feature helpful for visualizing their designs.

Constraints

  • The chatbot must comply with data privacy regulations such as GDPR.
  • The system must operate within the limitations of AI image generation models.
  • The chatbot must be optimized for both desktop and mobile devices.
  • The virtual model preview feature must be lightweight to ensure fast rendering in 2D without compromising quality.
