Introduction

The "shiny-description" project is a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system designed specifically for sales teams. This document outlines the system requirements necessary to develop a CRM that effectively manages customer interactions and data, with a focus on pipeline tracking to streamline lead management, communication, and reporting.

System Overview

The shiny-description CRM system aims to provide sales teams with a robust platform to manage their sales processes efficiently. The system will include features such as pipeline tracking, lead management, and communication tools, all tailored to enhance the productivity and effectiveness of sales operations.

Functional Requirements

  • As a Sales Team Member, I should be able to track the sales pipeline to visualize and manage the sales process efficiently.
  • As a Sales Team Member, I should be able to manage leads to ensure effective follow-up and conversion.
  • As a Sales Team Member, I should be able to communicate with clients and team members through integrated messaging tools.

  • Sales Team Member: Responsible for managing leads, tracking the sales pipeline, and communicating with clients and team members to close deals effectively.

Signature Design Concept

The homepage of the shiny-description CRM will feature an interactive "Sales Pipeline Journey" map. This map will visually represent the sales process as a dynamic path that users can navigate. Each stage of the pipeline will be a clickable node that expands to show detailed information and actions related to that stage. Users can drag the map to explore different stages, and hovering over a node will highlight connections to other stages. The map will be animated using framer-motion for smooth transitions and interactions, providing an engaging and intuitive experience for sales team members.

Interaction Model & Motion Direction

The landing page will utilize a "parallax" interaction model to create a layered depth effect as users scroll. Decorative elements such as atmospheric blobs and distant shapes will move at different speeds, enhancing the storytelling aspect of the CRM's features. Each section of the landing page will have a distinctive core mechanic, such as a 3D scene or kinetic typography, to maintain user engagement and provide a visually rich first impression.

  • The system must be scalable to accommodate growing sales teams and data volumes.
  • The CRM should ensure data security and privacy, complying with relevant regulations.
  • The user interface must be responsive and accessible across various devices and screen sizes.
