System Requirements Document (SRD)

Project Name: Sapphire-Help

1. Introduction

Sapphire-Help is a platform designed to create a safe, anonymous space for young people to connect, share their interests, and engage in meaningful conversations. The app combines hobby-based group interactions and one-on-one anonymous chats, ensuring users can find community and support without fear of judgment.

This document outlines the system requirements for Sapphire-Help, focusing on its functional and non-functional aspects, user personas, design concepts, and technical specifications.

The project is tailored for Diya Jethwani, based in India, and incorporates locale-specific considerations such as timezone (IST), currency (INR), and cultural nuances relevant to the target audience.

2. System Overview

Sapphire-Help is a mobile-first application that enables users to:

  • Join hobby-based groups to discuss shared interests anonymously.
  • Engage in one-on-one anonymous chats with other users.
  • Sign up using only their email address, with the ability to delete their account anytime.

The system prioritizes user anonymity, simplicity, and community-building. It leverages modern technologies to ensure scalability, security, and a seamless user experience.

3. Functional Requirements

Story Points:

  • As a User, I should be able to sign up using only my email address.
  • As a User, I should be able to delete my account anytime.
  • As a User, I should be able to join hobby-based groups anonymously.
  • As a User, I should be able to chat one-on-one anonymously with other users.
  • As a User, I should be able to search for groups based on specific hobbies or interests.
  • As a User, I should be able to block or report users if necessary.
  • As an Admin, I should be able to moderate groups and handle reported issues.
  • As an Admin, I should be able to manage user accounts and ensure compliance with community guidelines.

4. User Personas

Color Palette:

The Sapphire-Help app will feature a vibrant yet calming color scheme to evoke feelings of safety, creativity, and connection.

  • Background: #1E1F26 (Deep Midnight Blue)
  • Surface: #2A2D3E (Charcoal Gray)
  • Text: #F4F4F9 (Soft White)
  • Accent: #5C80BC (Sapphire Blue)
  • Muted Tones: #A1A6B4 (Muted Steel Gray)

6. Signature Design Concept

Interactive Sapphire Galaxy Homepage

The homepage of Sapphire-Help will feature an interactive galaxy map where each star represents a hobby-based group. Users can navigate the galaxy by dragging, zooming, and clicking on stars to explore groups.

Details:

  • Visuals: A dynamic, animated galaxy with shimmering stars and constellations. Each star pulsates gently to indicate activity within the group.
  • Interactions: Hovering over a star reveals the group name and a brief description. Clicking on a star opens the group details and allows users to join.
  • Transitions: Smooth zoom-in and zoom-out effects, with stars glowing brighter as users approach them.
  • Micro-interactions: Subtle sparkles and color shifts when users interact with the galaxy map.

This design concept ensures the app makes a striking first impression while reinforcing the theme of connection and exploration.
