System Requirements Document (SRD)

Project Name: Sage-Link

1. Introduction

The purpose of this System Requirements Document (SRD) is to outline the functional and non-functional requirements for the Sage-Link project, which aims to create an exceptional online presence for Prince Restaurant. Prince Restaurant is a women-owned, non-vegetarian dining establishment located in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, India. Known for its rich history since 1967, the restaurant specializes in North Indian cuisine and offers services such as dine-in, drive-through, and no-contact delivery.

This document will serve as a blueprint to ensure the successful development of a website that highlights the restaurant's unique offerings, enhances customer engagement, and facilitates online reservations and ordering.

6. Signature Design Concept

Interactive Spice Journey Homepage

The homepage will feature an interactive spice journey that immerses users in the world of North Indian cuisine. Upon landing, users will see an animated spice trail (e.g., cumin seeds, cardamom pods, and chili flakes) flowing across the screen.

  • Visuals: The background will transition between vibrant food photography and subtle animations of spices being ground or dishes being plated.
  • Interactions: Hovering over spices will reveal pop-up facts about their use in the restaurant's dishes.
  • Transitions: Smooth scrolling will guide users through sections like "Our Story," "Signature Dishes," and "Sabji by Kilo."
  • Micro-interactions: Buttons will have a "spice sprinkle" effect when clicked, adding a playful touch.

This concept will create a memorable first impression and set the tone for the rest of the website.
