System Requirements Document (SRD)

Project Name: rising-redesign

1. Introduction

The "rising-redesign" project aims to enhance the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) of the verification panel page. The redesign will focus on improving layout, color scheme, typography, and overall usability while maintaining the professional tone of the current design. This document outlines the system requirements for the redesign process.

2. System Overview

The verification panel is a critical interface for the Central Verifier team to review and manage applications. The redesign will optimize the layout for better navigation, improve visual hierarchy, and refresh the color scheme and typography to create a more intuitive and aesthetically pleasing experience.

Key objectives:

  • Improve layout spacing and alignment for better readability.
  • Enhance the visibility of key actions (e.g., "Reject Application" and "Request Evidence").
  • Modernize the design with updated colors and typography.
  • Ensure the interface remains professional and user-friendly.

3. Functional Requirements

  • As a Verifier, I should be able to clearly distinguish between sections like "Uploaded Evidence" and "Guidelines."
  • As a Verifier, I should be able to easily navigate between tabs ("Overview," "Evidence & Guidelines," "Chat").
  • As a Verifier, I should be able to quickly identify the status of evidence (e.g., "Pending," "Approved").
  • As a Verifier, I should be able to access key actions like "Reject Application" and "Request Evidence" without confusion.
  • As a Verifier, I should experience improved spacing and alignment for better readability.

4. User Personas

Verifier

  • Role: Reviews applications and evidence, makes verification decisions.
  • Needs: Clear navigation, intuitive layout, and quick access to actions.

Applicant

  • Role: Submits evidence for verification.
  • Needs: Clear feedback on application status and evidence requirements.

5. Visuals Colors and Theme

Color Palette

The redesigned UI will feature a modern and professional dark theme with the following color palette:

  • Background: #121212 (Deep Black)
  • Surface: #1E1E2E (Charcoal Gray)
  • Text: #E0E0E0 (Light Gray)
  • Accent: #6C63FF (Vivid Purple)
  • Muted Tones: #3A3A4A (Muted Gray)

6. Signature Design Concept

Concept: Interactive Verification Dashboard

The homepage will feature an interactive dashboard with dynamic elements that respond to user actions:

  • Section Cards: Each section (e.g., "Uploaded Evidence," "Guidelines") will be displayed as interactive cards with hover effects that subtly expand and highlight.
  • Progress Bar Animation: The "Evidence Review Progress" bar will animate smoothly as progress updates.
  • Micro-Interactions: Buttons like "Reject Application" and "Request Evidence" will have subtle animations (e.g., color shifts and bounce effects) to draw attention.
  • Tab Navigation: Tabs ("Overview," "Evidence & Guidelines," "Chat") will feature sliding transitions and hover effects for a modern feel.
  • Guidelines Section: The "Guidelines" cards will include collapsible menus for detailed information, reducing visual clutter.

This design will make the interface feel alive and engaging while maintaining professionalism.

7. Non-Functional Requirements

  • The UI must load within 2 seconds on standard devices.
  • The design must be responsive and adapt to different screen sizes.
  • The system must support accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1).

8. Tech Stack

Frontend

  • React for Web

Backend

  • Python
  • FastAPI

Database

  • MySQL or MariaDB (using Alembic for migrations)

AI Tools

  • Litellm for LLM Routing
  • Langchain

Local Orchestration

  • Docker
  • docker-compose

Server-Side Orchestration

  • Kubernetes

9. Assumptions and Constraints

  • The redesign will follow the reference image provided by the user.
  • The system will be used primarily by the Central Verifier team.
  • The redesign must adhere to the existing functionality without introducing new features.

10. Glossary

  • Verifier: A user responsible for reviewing applications and evidence.
  • Evidence: Documents or information submitted by applicants for verification.
  • Guidelines: Rules and protocols for verification.
  • UI: User Interface.
  • UX: User Experience.
