System Requirements Document (SRD) for Rising-Payment

1. Introduction

The Rising-Payment project aims to develop a full-stack UPI-based payment mobile application tailored for the general Indian audience. Inspired by platforms like FamPay and GPay, this app will enable seamless, real-time money transfers between users and across other UPI-supported apps. The application will prioritize user convenience, security, and interoperability, ensuring it meets the expectations of a billion-dollar payment platform.

This document outlines the system requirements for the Rising-Payment project, including functional and non-functional requirements, user personas, design concepts, and technical specifications.

2. System Overview

Rising-Payment is a mobile application designed to facilitate real-time UPI payments for users in India. The app will allow users to:

  • Send and receive money instantly via UPI.
  • Interact with other UPI-enabled apps like GPay, Paytm, and PhonePe.
  • Access features such as transaction history, bank linking, virtual cards, and notifications.

The system will leverage modern technologies to ensure scalability, security, and a seamless user experience. The app will comply with Indian financial regulations and UPI standards, ensuring trust and reliability for its users.

3. Functional Requirements

The following functional requirements are defined as story points:

  • As a User, I should be able to register and link my bank account using UPI.
  • As a User, I should be able to send money to other users in real-time.
  • As a User, I should be able to receive money instantly from other users.
  • As a User, I should be able to view my transaction history.
  • As a User, I should be able to generate and use virtual cards for online payments.
  • As a User, I should be able to send money to users on other UPI apps like GPay, Paytm, etc.
  • As a User, I should receive notifications for all transactions.
  • As an Admin, I should be able to monitor transactions for fraud detection.
  • As an Admin, I should be able to manage user accounts and resolve disputes.

4. User Personas

  • Goals: Ensure platform security, monitor transactions, and resolve user issues.
  • Pain Points: Identifying fraudulent activities and managing a large user base efficiently.

5. Visuals Colors and Theme

The Rising-Payment app will use a modern and vibrant color palette to reflect trust, energy, and innovation. The colors are designed to resonate with Indian users while maintaining a professional and secure aesthetic.

  • Background: #F5F9FF (Soft Blue-White)
  • Surface: #FFFFFF (Pure White)
  • Text: #1A1A1A (Deep Charcoal)
  • Accent: #FF6F61 (Vibrant Coral)
  • Muted: #B0BEC5 (Soft Gray-Blue)

6. Signature Design Concept

The Rising-Payment app will feature a "Dynamic Ripple Effect" on the homepage. This design concept symbolizes the ripple effect of money transfers and the interconnectedness of users through UPI.

Key Features:

  • Interactive Ripple Animation: The homepage will display a dynamic ripple animation that reacts to user interactions. For example, tapping on the screen will create ripples that expand outward, symbolizing the flow of money.
  • Floating Icons: Key features like "Send Money," "Receive Money," and "Transaction History" will appear as floating icons on the ripple surface. These icons will gently bob up and down, creating a sense of fluidity.
  • Color Transitions: The background will transition between shades of blue and coral, reflecting the app's color palette and creating a calming effect.
  • Micro-Interactions: Hovering over or tapping icons will trigger subtle animations, such as icons enlarging slightly or ripples intensifying.

This design will make the app visually memorable and provide users with an engaging and intuitive experience.

7. Non-Functional Requirements

  • Performance: The app must process transactions within 2 seconds.
  • Scalability: The system should support up to 10 million concurrent users.
  • Security: The app must comply with UPI security standards and include features like two-factor authentication and encryption.
  • Availability: The app should maintain 99.9% uptime.
  • Localization: The app should support multiple Indian languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Bengali.
