project-d90b1537 System Requirements Document

Introduction

The project-d90b1537 aims to develop an AI-driven system specifically designed for government employees in Karnataka, India. This system will provide a comprehensive AI workflow to assist with various administrative and legal tasks, ensuring compliance with Karnataka government rules and regulations.

System Overview

The system will function as a vertical AI workflow, offering specialized assistance rather than a general chatbot. It will cater to government employees by providing relevant legal and administrative support through a Glassy UI SaaS application. The system will integrate all Karnataka government rules, pre-resolved by an API supervisor, to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Functional Requirements as Story Points

  • As a Government Employee, I should be able to upload documents such as suspension orders, charge memos, transfer orders, promotion denials, and pension orders.
  • As a Government Employee, I should receive applicable service rules based on the uploaded documents.
  • As a Government Employee, I should be provided with relevant Supreme Court, High Court, KAT/CAT precedents.
  • As a Government Employee, I should receive draft representations and draft OA/Writs for my cases.
  • As a Government Employee, I should be able to identify weaknesses in the department's case.
  • As a Government Employee, I should have access to an evidence checklist for my case.
  • As a Government Employee, I should be informed about the expected litigation strategy.
  • As a System Administrator, I should ensure that all Karnataka government rules are pre-resolved by the API supervisor.

User Personas

  • Government Employee: The primary user who interacts with the system to manage legal and administrative tasks.
  • System Administrator: Manages the backend, ensuring all rules and precedents are up-to-date and pre-resolved by the API supervisor.

Core User Flows

  1. Government Employee uploads a document (e.g., suspension order).
  2. System analyzes the document and retrieves applicable service rules.
  3. System provides relevant legal precedents and draft documents.
  4. Government Employee reviews the drafts and checks for weaknesses in the department's case.
  5. System offers an evidence checklist and expected litigation strategy.

Signature Design Concept

The homepage will feature an interactive "Legal Document Journey" animation. Users will see a digital document traveling through a virtual workflow pipeline, transforming as it moves through various stages (analysis, precedent matching, draft generation). This animation will use motion/react for smooth transitions and interactions. Users can click on each stage to view detailed information about the process, making the experience both educational and engaging.

Landing Hero Motion Brief

The landing hero will depict a digital document entering a virtual pipeline. As it progresses, the document will transform, showing stages of analysis, precedent matching, and draft generation. This 10-second loop will use motion/react for seamless transitions. Users can interact by clicking on stages to reveal more details. The animation will adapt responsively, maintaining clarity on all devices.

Interaction Model & Motion Direction

  • Intended Interaction Model: Animated
  • The landing page will feature moderate scroll-triggered reveals and hover transitions. Interactive elements will have spring physics for a polished user experience. Each section will have a distinctive mechanic, such as morphing SVGs or scroll-linked reveals, to maintain user engagement.

Non-Functional Requirements

  • The system must comply with all relevant data protection regulations.
  • The application should be highly available and scalable to accommodate varying user loads.
  • Response times for document processing should not exceed 5 seconds.

Tech Stack

  • Frontend: React for Web
  • Backend: Python, FastAPI
  • Database: MySQL or MariaDB, using Alembic for migrations
  • AI Models: GPT 5.4 for user-friendly responses
  • AI Tools: Litellm for LLM Routing, Langchain
  • Local Orchestration: Docker, docker-compose
  • Server-side Orchestration: Kubernetes

Assumptions and Constraints

  • The system will only support documents and precedents relevant to Karnataka government employees.
  • All legal precedents and service rules will be kept up-to-date by the API supervisor.
  • The system will operate within the legal framework of India, specifically Karnataka.

Glossary

  • KAT/CAT: Karnataka Administrative Tribunal/Central Administrative Tribunal
  • OA/Writ: Original Application/Writ Petition
  • API Supervisor: A system component responsible for ensuring all rules and precedents are pre-resolved and up-to-date.
