Project-803a15be: Construction Safety Paperwork OS

Introduction

The purpose of this document is to outline the system requirements for "Construction Safety Paperwork OS," a comprehensive SaaS product designed to digitize and streamline safety compliance processes for construction companies. This project aims to eliminate paper-based safety compliance, providing a modern, efficient, and AI-driven solution for managing safety documentation and processes.

System Overview

Construction Safety Paperwork OS is a SaaS platform that targets construction companies and related industries to manage safety compliance digitally. The system will replace traditional methods such as Excel, WhatsApp, paper forms, and emails with a unified digital platform. Key features include AI-driven risk assessments, automated notifications, and comprehensive analytics.

  • As a Site Engineer, I should be able to report incidents and near misses efficiently.
  • As a Worker, I should be able to log PPE compliance and receive safety updates.
  • As an HR Manager, I should be able to track worker attendance and certifications.
  • As a Contractor, I should be able to submit and manage compliance documents.
  • As an Admin, I should be able to configure system settings and manage users.
  • As a CEO, I should be able to view high-level safety compliance analytics and reports.
  • As a User, I should be able to receive automated notifications for expiring certifications and permits.
  • As a User, I should be able to interact with an AI Copilot for generating safety documents and reports.
  • As a User, I should be able to access dashboards showing safety scores and compliance metrics.

User Personas

  • Safety Officer: Responsible for ensuring site safety and compliance.
  • Project Manager: Oversees project execution and compliance with safety standards.
  • Site Engineer: Manages on-site operations and incident reporting.
  • Worker: Engages in daily site activities and ensures personal safety compliance.
  • HR Manager: Manages workforce compliance and certifications.
  • Contractor: Provides services and ensures compliance with project requirements.
  • Admin: Manages system configurations and user access.
  • CEO: Oversees company-wide safety compliance and strategic decisions.

Core User Flows

  • Safety Officer logs into the system -> Generates daily site inspection report -> Submits report for review.
  • Project Manager reviews toolbox talks -> Updates compliance status -> Notifies team of updates.
  • Site Engineer reports an incident -> System generates incident report -> Incident is logged and tracked.
  • Worker logs PPE compliance -> Receives safety updates -> Acknowledges receipt.
  • HR Manager tracks worker certifications -> Receives notification of expiring certifications -> Updates records.
  • Contractor submits compliance documents -> Documents are reviewed -> Approval status is updated.
  • Admin configures system settings -> Manages user roles and permissions -> Monitors system usage.
  • CEO accesses dashboard -> Reviews safety compliance metrics -> Makes strategic decisions based on data.

Signature Design Concept

Interactive Construction Site Map

The homepage will feature an interactive 3D construction site map using @react-three/fiber and @react-three/drei. Users can click on different areas of the site to view related safety documents and compliance status. The map will animate with construction vehicles moving and workers performing tasks, providing a dynamic and engaging user experience. Hovering over elements will display tooltips with additional information, and users can drag to rotate the view, offering a comprehensive overview of site safety.

Landing Hero Motion Brief

The landing hero will depict a construction site where digital documents transform into organized compliance reports. Using motion/react, the animation will show paper forms being scanned and converted into digital formats, then organized into a structured report. This loop will last 10 seconds, emphasizing the transformation from chaos to order. The animation will be responsive, adjusting to different screen sizes, and will settle into a static state with key information highlighted.

Interaction Model & Motion Direction

  • Intended Interaction Model: Parallax
  • Landing/Home Page: The page will feature layered depth via scroll, with decorative elements translating at different speeds to create a sense of depth. Real content will scroll naturally, providing a visually rich first impression.
  • Internal Pages: Static layout with minimal motion, focusing on clarity and usability for dashboards, settings, and data-heavy pages.
