The "prism-podcast" project aims to create an engaging and interactive landing page for a podcast website. The focus is on delivering a smooth and immersive user experience through advanced motion effects and animations, utilizing Three.js and GSAP. This document outlines the system requirements for the development of the prism-podcast website, tailored to meet the needs of Imtiyaz Ahamad and his audience in India.
The prism-podcast website will serve as the primary digital platform for showcasing podcast episodes, introducing hosts, and providing contact information. The website will feature a dynamic and visually appealing landing page that leverages smooth scrolling and motion effects to enhance user engagement. The use of Three.js and GSAP will allow for sophisticated animations and transitions, creating a memorable first impression for visitors.
The prism-podcast landing page will feature a "Floating Podcast Universe" concept. As users scroll, they will navigate through a 3D space where each podcast episode is represented as a floating orb. These orbs will rotate and move in response to the user's scroll actions, creating an interactive and engaging experience. The background will feature a subtle, animated starfield that enhances the feeling of depth and immersion. Users can click on orbs to reveal episode details, which will animate into view with smooth transitions. The implementation will leverage @react-three/fiber for 3D rendering and gsap for scroll-triggered animations and transitions.
The landing page will employ a "parallax" interaction model, providing layered depth through scroll-triggered animations. Decorative elements like the starfield and floating orbs will move at different speeds, creating a dynamic and immersive experience. Internal pages such as episode details and contact forms will maintain a "static" interaction model for clarity and ease of use.
