prism-design System Requirements Document

Introduction

The "prism-design" project is an innovative tool designed to enhance cybersecurity by visualizing and monitoring network activity in real-time. This document outlines the system requirements for developing a 3D cyber web developer that is capable of catching hackers, managing user profiles, and handling cybersecurity complaints.

System Overview

The prism-design project aims to create an interactive interface that allows users to visualize network activity and monitor potential threats. The system will include a dashboard for user profiles, a complaint box for reporting cyber theft, and integrated firewalls for enhanced security. The system will support multiple user roles, including admins and regular users, to efficiently manage security settings and complaints.

Functional Requirements

  • As a User, I should be able to log in and have my profile remembered.
  • As a User, I should be able to submit a complaint about cyber theft.
  • As an Admin, I should be able to manage user complaints and monitor security settings.
  • As a User, I should be able to visualize network activity in real-time.
  • As an Admin, I should be able to receive alerts for suspicious activities.
  • As a User, I should be able to interact with a 3D interface to monitor network activity.

User Personas

  • Admin: Responsible for managing user complaints, monitoring security settings, and responding to alerts.
  • User: Can log in, submit complaints, and visualize network activity through the 3D interface.

Visuals Colors and Theme

  • primary: #1A1F71 (Deep Indigo)
  • primary_light: #4A54A3 (Light Indigo)
  • secondary: #FF6F61 (Coral)
  • accent: #FFD700 (Gold)
  • highlight: #FFA500 (Orange)
  • bg: #F0F4F8 (Light Gray)
  • surface: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.8) (White)
  • text: #333333 (Dark Gray)
  • text_muted: #777777 (Muted Gray)
  • border: rgba(200, 200, 200, 0.5) (Light Gray)

Signature Design Concept

The homepage of the prism-design project will feature an interactive 3D cyber landscape using @react-three/fiber and @react-three/drei. Users will navigate through a futuristic cityscape representing network nodes and connections. Each building represents a different aspect of the network, such as user profiles, firewall settings, and complaint management. Users can click on buildings to zoom in and interact with the specific features. The cityscape will dynamically change colors based on real-time network activity, providing a visually engaging and informative experience.

Interaction Model & Motion Direction

The landing page will utilize a "parallax" interaction model, with layered depth effects as users scroll through the page. The 3D cityscape will have scroll-triggered animations, with buildings and network nodes moving at different speeds to create a sense of depth. Interactive elements will have hover transitions and spring physics to enhance user engagement.

Non-Functional Requirements

  • The system must be highly secure to protect user data and prevent unauthorized access.
  • The interface should be responsive and accessible on various devices and screen sizes.
  • The system should support real-time data visualization and updates.

Tech Stack

  • Frontend: React for Web
  • Backend: Python, FastAPI
  • Database: MySQL or MariaDB, using Alembic for migrations
  • 3D and Animation Libraries: @react-three/fiber, @react-three/drei, gsap for animations

Assumptions and Constraints

  • The system will be deployed in a secure environment with regular updates to maintain security.
  • User roles and permissions will be clearly defined to ensure proper access control.
  • The system will require internet connectivity for real-time data visualization.

Glossary

  • 3D Cyber Web Developer: A tool designed to visualize and monitor network activity in a three-dimensional interface.
  • Firewall: A security system that controls incoming and outgoing network traffic based on predetermined security rules.
  • Parallax: A design technique where background images move slower than foreground images, creating an illusion of depth.

This document outlines the foundational requirements for the prism-design project, setting the stage for a secure and interactive cybersecurity tool.
