1. Introduction

Welcome to the System Requirements Document for Orbit-Food, a modern, fully responsive food delivery platform inspired by Foodpanda PH but enhanced with improved UI/UX, features, and interactivity. This document outlines the requirements for the development of the platform, including its unique Lamp-based Login System, hybrid AI recommendation engine, and gamified features.

Orbit-Food aims to redefine food delivery experiences for users in the Philippines by combining cutting-edge technology with intuitive design.

2. System Overview

Orbit-Food will consist of two primary components:

  1. Public Website: Accessible to all users, showcasing basic pages such as the homepage, about, reviews, and contact.
  2. Logged-In User Experience: Unlocks personalized features such as AI-based food recommendations, order history, delivery tracking, and gamification.
  3. Admin Dashboard: Provides administrative control over restaurants, orders, users, and promotions.

The platform will leverage a Lamp-based Login System to create a memorable and interactive login experience. A hybrid AI recommendation engine will enhance user engagement by combining past orders, preferences, and local trends.

  • As a Guest, I should be able to view the homepage with:

    • Information about Orbit-Food.
    • Mission & Vision.
    • Reasons to choose Orbit-Food (faster delivery, smarter suggestions, better UI).
  • As a Guest, I should be able to view Reviews/Testimonials with:
    • Customer reviews, star ratings, and food photos.
  • As a Guest, I should be able to access the Contact page with:
    • Email, phone, social media links, and a simple contact form.

Lamp-Based Login System

  • As a User, I should be able to interact with the lamp to toggle the login form visibility.
  • As a User, I should experience smooth animations (fade + slide) and sound effects when toggling the lamp.
  • As a User, I should be able to log in using:
    • Username/Email.
    • Password.
    • Options for "Login as Admin" and "Create Account."

    • Checkout and track delivery progress (via progress bar or map simulation).

Admin Dashboard

  • As an Admin, I should have access to:
    • Dashboard Overview: Total orders, users, revenue stats, and graphs.

    • Manage Orders: View all orders and update statuses (Preparing, Delivering, Completed).
    • Manage Users: View users and ban/activate accounts.

Inspired by the reference design, the color palette for Orbit-Food is as follows:

  • Background: #121417 (Dark mode base).
  • Surface: #1C1F24 (Glass-like panels).
  • Text: #FFFFFF (Bright and readable).
  • Accent: #FFD700 (Gold for buttons and highlights).
  • Muted Tones: #A0A3A8 (Subtle text and secondary elements).

6. Signature Design Concept

Lamp-Based Login System

The Lamp-based Login System will be the centerpiece of Orbit-Foodโ€™s design. On the login page:

  • A lamp is placed on the left side of the screen.
  • Users can toggle the lamp by pulling its chain, which:
    • Turns the light ON, brightening the background and revealing the login form.
    • Turns the light OFF, darkening the background and hiding the login form.
  • Smooth animations (fade + slide) and sound effects will enhance the interaction.
  • The login form will feature glassmorphism styling with gold-accented buttons.

This unique design will make logging in a memorable and enjoyable experience for users.
