System Requirement Document

System Requirements Document (SRD)

1. Introduction

This document outlines the system requirements for the project, detailing functional and non-functional aspects, user personas, visuals, and the technical stack required to build the system. The goal is to ensure clarity and alignment with user expectations.

2. System Overview

The system is designed to provide a seamless experience for users, enabling them to interact with the platform efficiently. It will cater to multiple user personas and offer features tailored to their needs. The system will be scalable, secure, and user-friendly.

3. Functional Requirements as Story Points

  • As User I should be able to do xyz.
  • As Admin I should be able to do xyz.
  • As Guest I should be able to do xyz.

4. User Personas

  • Admin: Responsible for managing the system, overseeing user activities, and ensuring smooth operations.
  • User: The primary consumer of the system's features, utilizing the platform for its intended purpose.
  • Guest: A temporary user with limited access to the system's functionalities.

5. Visuals Colors and Theme

The system will adopt a modern and professional color scheme:

  • Primary Colors: Blue (#007BFF) and White (#FFFFFF)
  • Secondary Colors: Gray (#6C757D) and Light Blue (#E3F2FD)
  • Accent Colors: Green (#28A745) for success messages and Red (#DC3545) for error messages.

The theme will focus on simplicity, readability, and accessibility, ensuring a user-friendly interface.

6. Non-Functional Requirements

  • The system must be highly scalable to accommodate increasing user traffic.
  • It should ensure data security and privacy compliance with relevant regulations.
  • The platform must have high availability, with a minimum uptime of 99.9%.
  • Response times should not exceed 2 seconds for any user action.
  • The system must be compatible with modern browsers and mobile devices.

7. Tech Stack

Frontend

  • React for Web
  • React Native for mobile app

8. Assumptions and Constraints

  • The system will be deployed in a cloud environment with Kubernetes for orchestration.
  • Users will have access to stable internet connections to interact with the platform.
  • The system will support English as the primary language.
  • The database will be optimized for high read and write operations.
  • AI models will be integrated based on specific use cases and user needs.

9. Glossary

  • Admin: A user with elevated privileges to manage the system.
  • User: A registered individual who utilizes the platform's features.
  • Guest: A non-registered individual with limited access.
  • Frontend: The user interface of the system.
  • Backend: The server-side logic and operations of the system.
  • RDBMS: Relational Database Management System.
  • AI Models: Artificial intelligence models used for specific functionalities.
  • Docker: A tool for containerization.
  • Kubernetes: A system for automating deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.
