Introduction

The "music thoughts" project is an AI-powered music production platform designed to assist producers, beatmakers, and songwriters in enhancing their creative workflow. This system is inspired by the Output Co-Producer plugin and aims to provide a standalone desktop application, VST3/AU plugin, and iOS & Android companion app. The platform is not intended to replace a full DAW or serve as a DJ app but to act as an intelligent co-producer that integrates seamlessly into existing DAW workflows.

Functional Requirements

• As a Producer, I should be able to analyze 4–8 bar loops in real-time to detect BPM, key, scale, groove, genre, energy, harmonic density, and rhythmic complexity.
• As a User, I should be able to input text prompts like “dark trap drums” or “smooth R&B vocals” for AI-generated suggestions.
• As a User, I should be able to upload audio loops for analysis and hybrid mode prompts.
• As a Producer, I should be able to search for samples using a vector-based engine that matches mood, key, BPM, groove, and energy.
• As a User, I should be able to preview samples with auto BPM sync and key matching.

Hovering over nodes will trigger subtle animations and sound previews, creating an immersive and engaging experience. This concept not only showcases the platform's capabilities but also invites users to interact with their music in a novel, intuitive way.

Interaction Model & Motion Direction

The landing page will employ a "parallax" interaction model, providing a layered depth effect as users scroll through the content. Decorative elements, such as sound waves and musical notes, will move at different speeds, creating a sense of immersion. Key content will remain in the normal flow, ensuring readability and accessibility. Internal pages, such as settings and profiles, will adopt a "static" model to prioritize clarity and ease of use.
