System Requirements Document (SRD)

Project Name: mint-countries

1. Introduction

The mint-countries project, also known as Battle of the Countries, is a fandom wiki designed to bring a creative fictional universe to life. In this universe, countries, celestial bodies, and cosmic forces are reimagined as students and staff in a chaotic and satirical school setting. This wiki will serve as a comprehensive resource for fans, offering detailed character biographies, hidden lore, and interactive features that encourage community engagement.

The project is tailored to Natasha Riley's vision, blending humor, absurdity, and deep lore-building to create a unique and immersive experience. The wiki will include all 197 countries, celestial staff, and creatures, ensuring a full-scale representation of this imaginative world.

The Cosmic Classroom Homepage

The homepage of the wiki will be an interactive, animated classroom set in space. Here’s how it will look and feel:

  • Visuals:

    • The classroom is suspended in a galaxy, with desks floating in zero gravity. Each desk represents a character or group (e.g., continents, celestial staff, creatures).
    • The blackboard at the front displays the title Battle of the Countries in glowing, animated chalk.
  • Interactions:

    • Hovering over desks reveals character names and roles (e.g., “Guinea-Bissau: The Ghost”). Clicking a desk takes users to the character’s profile.
    • The blackboard updates dynamically with trivia, episode highlights, or community announcements.
  • Animations:

    • Planets orbit around the classroom, and stars twinkle in the background.
    • When users scroll, the classroom rotates slightly, giving a 3D effect.
  • Hidden Lore:

    • Clicking on specific objects (e.g., a dusty Geography book) reveals hidden messages or unlocks parts of Guinea-Bissau’s poem.

This design will make the homepage unforgettable, immersing users in the universe from the moment they arrive.

9. Assumptions and Constraints

  • The wiki will initially focus on English content, with potential for multilingual support in the future.
  • All 197 countries and characters will have detailed profiles, requiring significant content creation and management.
  • The system will rely on community contributions to expand the lore and maintain engagement.
  • The exaggerated traits and chaotic moments will be presented with a balance of humor and respect to avoid unintended offense.

10. Glossary

  • Character Directory: A searchable list of all characters in the universe.
  • Hidden Lore: Secret content that users can uncover through interactions with the wiki.
  • Code String 042: A hidden message tied to Guinea-Bissau’s story.
  • The Ghost’s Lament: Guinea-Bissau’s poem, central to the lore of the universe.
  • Community Contributions: User-submitted content, such as poems and stories, inspired by the universe.
  • Chaos Suggestion Box: A feature allowing fans to propose new quirks or storylines for characters.
