System Requirements Document (SRD)
Project Name: meteor-casablanca
1. Introduction
The "meteor-casablanca" project is a high-end interactive data visualization dashboard designed to analyze and present insights from the "HCP 2025 National Family Survey" (Enquête Nationale sur la Famille 2025). This project focuses on the urban transformation of Casablanca and Fes, leveraging advanced scrollytelling techniques, cinematic design aesthetics, and cutting-edge interactivity to deliver a premium user experience.
The dashboard will serve as an analytical tool for urban sociologists, data journalists, and policymakers in Morocco, providing insights into demographic shifts, urbanization trends, and social mobility. The project will be optimized for both desktop and mobile devices, ensuring accessibility and performance for high-end users.

2. System Overview
The "meteor-casablanca" dashboard will feature:
- Interactive Scrollytelling: A dynamic storytelling experience using 3D Earth animations and scroll-triggered transitions.
- Data Visualization: Transparent, glassmorphic charts and cards presenting key insights from the HCP 2025 report.
- Geography Insights: Side-by-side comparisons of Casablanca and Fes, highlighting their unique urban and cultural dynamics.
- Mobile Optimization: A fully responsive design with touch-friendly interactions and performance tuning for high-end devices like the Xiaomi 12.
- Presentation Mode: A guided overlay for classroom delivery, including subtitles, auto-scroll, and QR code sharing.
The system will be built using React, Framer Motion, Recharts, and Tailwind CSS, with a backend powered by Python and FastAPI.

6. Signature Design Concept
Interactive 3D Earth with Ambient Effects
The homepage will feature a 3D Earth that serves as the central interactive element. As users scroll:
- The Earth will glide left or right to reveal different sections (e.g., Demographics, Urbanization).
- A particle field of glowing data points will orbit the Earth, speeding up or slowing down based on scroll velocity.
- Hovering over the Earth will display dynamic tooltips with key data points (e.g., "Casablanca: 85.9% Digital Readiness").
- The background will feature a moving starfield, creating a cinematic, immersive experience.
This bold, unforgettable design will make the dashboard feel alive and futuristic, perfectly aligning with the "Cinematic Midnight" theme.
