mega-bot System Requirements Document

1. Introduction

The purpose of this document is to outline the system requirements for the "mega-bot" project. This project aims to create a social media website specifically designed for Indian auditions, with a special focus on the Delhi region. The document will detail the functional and non-functional requirements, user personas, core user flows, and design elements necessary to bring this project to fruition.

2. System Overview

The mega-bot project is a social media platform tailored for individuals interested in auditions within India, particularly in Delhi. The platform will provide users with the ability to create profiles, share audition-related content, and connect with others in the industry. The system will support various user roles and offer a seamless user experience through an engaging and interactive interface.

3. Functional Requirements

  • As a User, I should be able to create and manage my profile.
  • As a User, I should be able to post audition-related content.
  • As a User, I should be able to search for auditions in the Delhi region.
  • As a User, I should be able to connect with other users interested in auditions.
  • As an Admin, I should be able to manage user accounts and content.
  • As a Guest, I should be able to view public audition posts.

4. User Personas

  • User: Individuals interested in auditions, primarily located in Delhi.
  • Admin: Platform administrators responsible for managing user accounts and content.
  • Guest: Visitors who can view public content without creating an account.

5. Core User Flows

  • User signs up -> creates profile -> posts audition content -> connects with other users.
  • Admin logs in -> reviews user content -> manages user accounts.
  • Guest visits site -> views public audition posts.

6. Visuals Colors and Theme

  • primary: #1A73E8 (a vibrant blue representing trust and professionalism)
  • primary_light: #E8F0FE (a light blue for hover states and secondary UI)
  • secondary: #FF7043 (a warm coral for headlines and emphasis)
  • accent: #FDD835 (a bright yellow for CTAs and active states)
  • highlight: #FFB300 (a golden amber for hover states and notifications)
  • bg: #FFFFFF (a clean white background)
  • surface: rgba(250, 250, 250, 0.8) (a soft white for cards and panels)
  • text: #212121 (a dark gray for primary text)

7. Signature Design Concept

The homepage of the mega-bot platform will feature an interactive "Audition Map" of Delhi. Users can hover over different areas of the map to see live audition opportunities pop up as interactive markers. Clicking on a marker will open a detailed view of the audition, including dates, requirements, and the ability to apply directly. The map will be built using @react-three/fiber for 3D rendering, providing a dynamic and engaging user experience. The map will also include animations using framer-motion to smoothly transition between different views and states.

8. Interaction Model & Motion Direction

The landing page will utilize a "parallax" interaction model, creating a layered depth effect as users scroll through the page. This will be achieved with decorative layers that translate at different speeds, enhancing the storytelling and visual richness of the platform. Internal pages such as user profiles and settings will adopt a "static" interaction model to prioritize layout clarity and reading speed.

9. Non-Functional Requirements

  • The platform must support high traffic volumes, particularly during peak audition seasons.
  • The system should ensure data privacy and secure access control for all users.
  • The website must be responsive and accessible across various devices and screen sizes.

10. Tech Stack

  • Frontend: React for Web
  • Backend: Python, FastAPI
  • Database: MySQL or MariaDB, with alembic for migrations
  • AI Models: Not specified
  • AI Tools: Not specified
  • Local Orchestration: Docker, docker-compose
  • Server-side Orchestration: Kubernetes

11. Assumptions and Constraints

  • The platform will primarily target users in Delhi, India, but should be scalable to other regions if needed.
  • The system should comply with local data protection regulations applicable in India.
  • The platform must be designed to handle cultural and linguistic diversity among users.

12. Glossary

  • Audition Map: An interactive feature displaying live audition opportunities on a map interface.
  • Parallax: A visual effect where background images move slower than foreground images, creating a sense of depth.
  • Static Interaction Model: A design approach prioritizing layout clarity with minimal motion.
  • 3D Rendering: The process of creating three-dimensional images or animations using computer graphics software.
