1. Introduction

The Mammoth-Idea project aims to develop a mobile application similar to Netflix, providing users with a platform to explore and watch various shows and films. This document outlines the system requirements necessary to achieve this goal.

2. System Overview

Mammoth-Idea is a mobile application designed to offer users a seamless experience in browsing and viewing multimedia content. The app will feature a user-friendly interface with intuitive navigation and personalized content recommendations.

3. Functional Requirements

  • As a User, I should be able to view a list of available shows and films.
  • As a User, I should be able to search for specific shows or films.
  • As a User, I should be able to add shows or films to my personal list.
  • As a User, I should be able to manage my account settings.

4. User Personas

  • Viewer: Interested in browsing and watching content.
  • Subscriber: Regular user with a personalized list and account settings.

  • Viewer opens the app -> Browses available content -> Selects a show/film to watch.

7. Signature Design Concept

The Mammoth-Idea app will feature an interactive galaxy-themed interface. Users will navigate through a cosmic landscape where each star represents a show or film. Hovering over a star will reveal a brief synopsis, and clicking will expand the star into a full-screen preview. The interface will utilize @react-three/fiber for 3D navigation and framer-motion for smooth transitions and animations.

8. Interaction Model & Motion Direction

  • Interaction Model: Parallax
  • Motion Direction: The landing page will feature layered depth with scroll-triggered animations. Content will flow naturally, with interactive elements responding to user inputs through hover transitions and spring physics.

  • The app must be responsive and perform well on various mobile devices.
  • Ensure secure access control for user accounts.
  • Provide high availability and reliability.
