jungle-develop System Requirements Document
1. Introduction
The "jungle-develop" project aims to create a comprehensive sales, order, and return tracker application specifically designed for the Shopify e-commerce platform. This document outlines the system requirements necessary to achieve the project's objectives.
2. System Overview
The jungle-develop project will provide Shopify merchants with a robust tool to track sales, manage orders, and handle returns efficiently. The application will integrate seamlessly with Shopify, offering real-time updates and insights to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
3. Functional Requirements as Story Points
- As a Shopify Merchant, I should be able to view all sales data in real-time to monitor business performance.
- As a Shopify Merchant, I should be able to track the status of each order from placement to delivery.
- As a Shopify Merchant, I should be able to manage return requests and process them efficiently.
- As a Shopify Merchant, I should be able to generate reports on sales, orders, and returns for analysis.
- As a Shopify Merchant, I should be able to receive notifications for new orders and return requests.
4. User Personas
- Shopify Merchant: The primary user responsible for managing the store's sales, orders, and returns.

5. Core User Flows
- Merchant logs into the app -> views dashboard with sales, orders, and returns overview -> selects an order to view details -> processes return request if applicable -> generates report for analysis.
6. Visuals Colors and Theme
- primary: #1A73E8 (a vibrant blue representing trust and reliability)
- primary_light: #E8F0FE (a lighter blue for hover states)
- secondary: #34A853 (a green for success messages and confirmations)
- accent: #FBBC05 (a yellow for call-to-action buttons)
- highlight: #EA4335 (a red for notifications and alerts)
- bg: #FFFFFF (a clean white background)
- surface: #F1F3F4 (a light grey for cards and panels)
- text: #202124 (a dark grey for primary text)

7. Signature Design Concept
The jungle-develop app will feature an interactive "Order Journey Map" on the home page. This map will visually represent the journey of an order from placement to delivery. Users can click on different stages (e.g., "Order Placed," "In Transit," "Delivered") to view detailed information and statistics. The map will animate transitions between stages using motion/react for smooth, engaging interactions. Hovering over stages will reveal additional insights, and users can drag the map to explore different orders.

Landing Hero Motion Brief
The landing page will feature a dynamic illustration of a package traveling through a digital landscape. As the package moves, it transforms through various stages (e.g., warehouse, shipping, delivery) to represent the order process. This animation will loop every 10 seconds, using motion/react to ensure smooth transitions. The first frame will show the package at the starting point, with clear CTAs to explore the app further.
8. Interaction Model & Motion Direction
- Intended Interaction Model: Animated
- The landing page will feature moderate scroll-triggered reveals and hover transitions to engage users.
- Internal pages will focus on static layouts for clarity and ease of use.
9. Non-Functional Requirements
- The application must ensure data security and privacy compliance with Shopify's standards.
- The system should be scalable to handle a large number of transactions and users.
- The application should provide high availability and minimal downtime.

10. Tech Stack
- Frontend: React for Web
- Backend: Python with FastAPI
- Database: MySQL or MariaDB, using Alembic for migrations
- Local Orchestration: Docker and docker-compose
- Server-side Orchestration: Kubernetes
11. Assumptions and Constraints
- The application will be developed to integrate exclusively with the Shopify platform.
- Users are assumed to have basic knowledge of e-commerce operations.
- The application must comply with all Shopify app development guidelines.
12. Glossary
- Shopify Merchant: A user who owns or manages a Shopify store.
- Order Journey Map: A visual representation of the stages an order goes through from placement to delivery.
- CTA: Call to Action, a prompt for users to engage with the app.
