System Requirements Document (SRD) for jolly-forex

1. Introduction

The jolly-forex project aims to create a cutting-edge forex bot generator that empowers users to automate trading strategies using preset methodologies. By leveraging this tool, users can quickly generate bots tailored to popular trading strategies without requiring coding or deep trading expertise. This document outlines the system requirements for the development and implementation of the jolly-forex platform.

This SRD has been tailored for Humphrey, based in Germany (DE), and assumes locale-specific defaults such as the Euro (€) as the primary currency and Central European Time (CET) as the default timezone.

2. System Overview

The jolly-forex platform will serve as an intuitive, user-friendly tool for generating forex trading bots. It will cater to both novice and experienced traders by providing a library of preset trading strategies, such as scalping, trend-following, and breakout strategies. Users will be able to customize parameters for these strategies and deploy bots to execute trades automatically.

The system will feature:

  • A web-based interface for bot generation and management.
  • Integration with popular forex trading platforms via APIs.
  • A secure backend for storing user preferences and bot configurations.
  • AI-driven recommendations to help users select optimal strategies.

  • I should be able to view a summary of the bot's configuration before deployment.
  • I should be able to connect my forex trading account to the platform via API.
  • I should be able to deploy the generated bot to my trading account.
  • I should be able to monitor the bot's performance in real-time.
  • I should be able to pause, modify, or stop a bot after deployment.
  • I should be able to access educational resources about forex trading strategies.

As an Admin:

  • I should be able to manage the library of preset strategies.
  • I should be able to monitor user activity and bot deployment statistics.
  • I should be able to update system configurations and integrations.

The chart will display live forex data (or simulated data for demo purposes) with glowing candlesticks and trend lines.

Key Features:

  • Interactive Chart: Users can hover over data points to see detailed tooltips about market trends.
  • Bot Showcase: A carousel below the chart will display the preset strategies, each represented by a unique animated icon (e.g., a lightning bolt for scalping, a wave for trend-following).
  • Micro-Interactions: Buttons and icons will have subtle hover effects, such as glowing edges or slight enlargements.
  • Transition Animations: Smooth transitions between sections, with elements sliding or fading into view as users scroll.
  • Dark Mode Default: The platform will launch in dark mode, with the option to toggle to light mode.

This immersive design will captivate users and establish jolly-forex as a sophisticated, high-tech solution.

7. Non-Functional Requirements
