intigune Tracker System Requirements Document

1. Introduction

The intigune Tracker project aims to develop a modern enterprise logistics web application for GPS Tracker Handover Management. This application will be used by logistics operations teams to streamline processes, reduce manual communication, and enhance real-time tracking capabilities. It is designed exclusively for internal company use and its customers, ensuring a focused and efficient operational tool.

2. System Overview

The intigune Tracker system is designed to automate the GPS tracker handover confirmation process and provide live truck tracking. It will support various user roles, including Admin, Driver, Transporter, Broker, and Customer, each with specific functionalities. The system will be mobile-friendly, real-time, and optimized for transport operations, reducing the need for manual calls between logistics operators and other stakeholders. Additionally, it will include a feature to guide drivers to the nearest transporter using Google Maps integration.

3. Functional Requirements

  • As an Admin, I should be able to create and manage loads, edit load details, and update truck details anytime.
  • As a Driver, I should receive notifications upon reaching the destination and be guided to the nearest transporter for GPS tracker return.
  • As a Transporter, I should confirm GPS tracker handover with image proof.
  • As a Broker, I should perform the same confirmation process as a Transporter with mandatory image proof.
  • As a Customer, I should confirm GPS tracker handover with image proof.
  • As a Logistics Operator, I should view live truck locations and driver details.

4. User Personas

  1. Admin / Logistics Operations Team: Manages loads, tracks operations, and oversees the entire logistics process.
  2. Driver: Receives notifications, provides real-time location updates, and is guided to the nearest transporter.
  3. Transporter: Confirms GPS tracker handover and manages transport logistics.
  4. Broker: Facilitates logistics operations and confirms GPS tracker handover.
  5. Customer: Confirms receipt of GPS trackers and interacts with logistics operations.

  • border: rgba(38, 70, 83, 0.2) (Teal Gray)

6. Signature Design Concept

The homepage of the intigune Tracker will feature an interactive 3D logistics map using @react-three/fiber and @react-three/drei. Users will see a dynamic map where trucks are represented as moving icons. Clicking on a truck icon will open a detailed card with live data, including driver information and GPS status. The map will allow users to zoom and rotate to view different regions, providing an engaging and informative experience. The interface will incorporate smooth transitions and animations using framer-motion to enhance user interaction. Additionally, drivers will have access to a feature that shows the nearest transporter location using Google Maps, ensuring efficient GPS tracker returns.

7. Interaction Model & Motion Direction

The landing page will utilize a "parallax" interaction model, creating a layered depth effect as users scroll. Decorative elements like atmospheric blobs and distant shapes will move at different speeds, while real content scrolls naturally. This approach will provide a visually rich first impression, ideal for storytelling and marketing. Internal pages, such as dashboards and settings, will adopt a "static" model for clarity and minimal motion, ensuring efficient data presentation.

8. Non-Functional Requirements

  • The application must be mobile-responsive and support real-time updates.
  • It should ensure fast performance and scalability to handle increasing loads.
  • The system must provide secure APIs and protect user data.
  • The UI should be intuitive, with minimal clicks and a clean design.
  • Access should be restricted to company and customer users only.

9. Tech Stack

  • Frontend: React.js, Next.js, Tailwind CSS
  • Backend: Node.js, Express.js
  • Database: PostgreSQL
  • Real-time: Socket.io
  • Maps: Google Maps API
  • Notifications: Twilio WhatsApp API, SMS API
  • Authentication: JWT Authentication
  • Storage: Cloudinary or AWS S3
  • Deployment: AWS or Vercel

10. Assumptions and Constraints

  • The system assumes all users have internet access for real-time updates.
  • Constraints include data privacy regulations and the need for secure image storage.
  • The application must handle high traffic and large data volumes efficiently.
  • The system is designed for internal use by the company and its customers only.

11. Glossary

  • GPS Tracker: A device used to track the location of a vehicle in real-time.
  • Handover Confirmation: The process of confirming the receipt and return of a GPS tracker.
  • Geofencing: A technology that uses GPS to create a virtual geographic boundary, enabling software to trigger a response when a mobile device enters or leaves a particular area.
  • Parallax: An effect where background images move slower than foreground images, creating a sense of depth.

This document outlines the comprehensive requirements for the intigune Tracker project, ensuring a robust and efficient logistics management system.
