System Requirement Document

System Requirements Document (SRD)

1. Introduction

This document outlines the system requirements for the project, ensuring clarity and alignment between stakeholders and developers. It serves as a reference for all aspects of the system's design and implementation.

2. System Overview

The system is designed to provide users with an intuitive and visually appealing interface. It aims to deliver seamless functionality while maintaining high performance and reliability.

3. Functional Requirements as Story Points

  • As User I should be able to change the background color from red to blue.

4. User Personas

  • Admin: Responsible for managing system settings, user roles, and overall system configuration.
  • User: The primary end-user who interacts with the system for its intended purpose.
  • Guest: A visitor with limited access to the system's features.

5. Visuals Colors and Theme

The updated color theme for the project includes:

  • Background Color: Blue (updated from red as per user request).
  • Primary Text Color: White for contrast and readability.
  • Secondary Text Color: Light gray for less prominent information.
  • Accent Color: Dark blue for buttons and interactive elements.
  • Error Messages: Red for clear visibility of issues.
  • Success Messages: Green for positive feedback.

6. Non-Functional Requirements

  • The system should maintain high performance, with page load times under 2 seconds.
  • The interface should be responsive and adapt seamlessly to different screen sizes.
  • The system should be secure, ensuring data protection and user privacy.
  • The system should support accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1).

7. Tech Stack

  • Frontend: React for Web
  • Backend: Python with FastAPI
  • Database RDBMS: MySQL, using Alembic for migrations
  • Local Orchestration: Docker and docker-compose
  • Server-Side Orchestration: Kubernetes

8. Assumptions and Constraints

  • The system will primarily be accessed via modern web browsers.
  • The system will support English as the default language.
  • The background color change will not affect the system's functionality or performance.
  • The system will be hosted on a cloud-based infrastructure.

9. Glossary

  • Background Color: The color displayed behind all content on the user interface.
  • WCAG: Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, standards for making web content accessible.
  • Alembic: A database migration tool for Python.
  • Docker: A platform for containerizing applications.
  • Kubernetes: A system for automating deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.

This document reflects the updated requirement to change the background color from red to blue. All other aspects of the system remain unchanged.
