Heroic-Shopify System Requirements Document

1. Introduction

The purpose of this document is to outline the system requirements for the Heroic-Shopify project. This project aims to create a Shopify website that offers a diverse range of products, specifically clothing and electronics, targeting the US market. The website will include features such as customer reviews, live chat support, and personalized recommendations to enhance the user experience.

4. User Personas

  • User: A customer interested in purchasing clothing and electronics. They value user reviews, personalized recommendations, and responsive customer support.
  • Admin: Responsible for managing the Shopify store, including product listings, customer interactions, and overall site maintenance.

5. Visuals Colors and Theme

  • primary: #1A73E8 (a vibrant blue to represent trust and reliability)
  • primary_light: #E8F0FE (a light blue for hover states and secondary UI)
  • secondary: #FF6F61 (a coral hue for headlines and emphasis)
  • accent: #F4B400 (a bright yellow for CTAs and active states)
  • highlight: #FBBC05 (a warm amber for hover states and notifications)
  • bg: #FFFFFF (a clean white background)
  • surface: rgba(240, 240, 240, 0.8) (a light grey for cards and panels)

6. Signature Design Concept

The Heroic-Shopify homepage will feature an interactive galaxy map where each star represents a product category or feature. Users can click on a star to open a detailed view of the category, drag to rotate the galaxy, and hover to highlight connections between related products. This dynamic and engaging interface will be built using @react-three/fiber and @react-three/drei for 3D interactions, providing a memorable and immersive shopping experience.

7. Interaction Model & Motion Direction

The landing page will utilize a "parallax" interaction model, creating a layered depth effect as users scroll through the site. Decorative elements will move at different speeds, enhancing the storytelling aspect of the brand. Internal pages, such as product listings and user profiles, will adopt a "static" model to prioritize clarity and ease of navigation.

8. Non-Functional Requirements

  • The website must load within 3 seconds on a standard broadband connection.
  • The platform should support high traffic volumes, particularly during sales events.
  • Ensure compliance with US accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1).

9. Tech Stack

  • Frontend: React for Web
  • Backend: FastAPI
  • Database: MySQL or MariaDB, using Alembic for migrations
  • AI Models: GPT 5.4 for user-friendly responses
  • AI Tools: Litellm for LLM Routing, Langchain
  • Local Orchestration: Docker, docker-compose
  • Server-side Orchestration: Kubernetes

10. Assumptions and Constraints

  • The primary user base is located in the US, and all content will be tailored to this audience.
  • The website will be hosted on Shopify, leveraging its built-in e-commerce capabilities.
  • The design and functionality must adhere to Shopify's guidelines and limitations.

11. Glossary

  • Shopify: An e-commerce platform for online stores and retail point-of-sale systems.
  • Parallax: A scrolling technique where background images move slower than foreground images, creating an illusion of depth.
  • WCAG: Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, a set of recommendations for making web content more accessible.

This document outlines the requirements and design considerations for the Heroic-Shopify project, ensuring a robust and engaging platform for users and administrators alike.
