System Requirements Document (SRD)

1. Introduction

This document outlines the system requirements for a platform designed to integrate with third-party systems, enhance SaaS and product development, incorporate automation functionalities, and now includes a project builder feature. The goal is to streamline workflows, improve analytics, and add value for users by addressing their pain points and making processes faster, smarter, and more efficient.

2. System Overview

The system will serve as a robust platform capable of integrating with various third-party APIs and business platforms. It will provide tools for automation, analytics, feature enhancements, and project management to improve user experience and operational efficiency. The platform will be scalable, secure, and user-friendly, catering to diverse user personas such as administrators, end-users, and guests.

3. Functional Requirements as Story Points

  • As a User, I should be able to integrate the system with third-party APIs to enhance functionality.
  • As a User, I should be able to automate repetitive tasks within the system to save time and reduce errors.
  • As a User, I should be able to access analytics and insights to make data-driven decisions.
  • As a User, I should be able to create, manage, and track projects using the project builder feature.
  • As a User, I should be able to assign tasks, set deadlines, and monitor progress within the project builder.
  • As an Admin, I should be able to configure and manage third-party integrations.
  • As an Admin, I should be able to set up and monitor automation workflows.
  • As an Admin, I should be able to manage user roles and permissions for accessing automation, integration, and project builder features.
  • As an Admin, I should be able to customize project templates for the project builder to suit organizational needs.

4. User Personas

  1. Admin: Responsible for configuring and managing third-party integrations, setting up automation workflows, managing user roles and permissions, and customizing project templates in the project builder.
  2. User: Utilizes the platform to perform tasks, access analytics, benefit from automation, and manage projects using the project builder to enhance productivity and decision-making.
  3. Guest: Limited access to explore the platform's features and understand its capabilities.

5. Visuals Colors and Theme

The platform will adopt a modern and professional theme with the following color palette:

  • Primary Color: Deep Blue (#003366) – Represents trust and professionalism.
  • Secondary Color: Vibrant Orange (#FF6600) – Adds energy and highlights key actions.
  • Background Color: Light Gray (#F5F5F5) – Ensures a clean and minimalistic interface.
  • Accent Color: Soft Green (#66CC99) – Used for success messages and positive feedback.
  • Font: Sans-serif fonts like "Roboto" or "Open Sans" for readability.

6. Signature Design Concept

The homepage will feature an interactive automation and project management dashboard that visually represents workflows and projects as dynamic, animated flowcharts and Kanban boards.

  • Visual Design: The homepage will have a sleek, futuristic interface with a neon grid background that subtly animates, giving a sense of motion and innovation. The grid will pulse gently, creating a feeling of energy and progress.
  • Interactive Flowcharts and Kanban Boards: Users will see a centralized flowchart that represents their automation workflows alongside a Kanban-style project board. Each node in the flowchart will be a glowing orb, and each project/task in the Kanban board will appear as a card. Users can click on these orbs or cards to expand and view details about each automation process or project task.
  • Micro-Interactions: When hovering over a node or card, it will emit a soft glow and display a tooltip with a brief description of the task or project. Clicking on a node will smoothly zoom into the workflow, while clicking on a card will open a detailed view of the project or task, allowing users to edit or monitor progress.
  • Transitions: Smooth transitions between sections of the homepage will mimic the flow of data, with lines and animations connecting different parts of the interface. For example, dragging a task card on the Kanban board will trigger a subtle animation of the card snapping into place.
  • Call-to-Action: A prominent "Get Started with Automation and Project Management" button will pulsate gently, drawing attention and inviting users to explore the platform's capabilities.

This design will immediately captivate users, showcasing the platform's focus on automation, innovation, and project management.

7. Non-Functional Requirements

  • The system must support secure API integrations with third-party platforms.
  • The system must handle a minimum of 10,000 automation workflows concurrently.
  • The system must support up to 5,000 active projects and 50,000 tasks within the project builder.
  • The system must provide real-time analytics with a latency of less than 2 seconds.
  • The system must ensure data security and comply with GDPR and other relevant regulations.
  • The system must be scalable to accommodate future growth and increased user demand.

8. Tech Stack

  • Frontend: React for Web
  • Backend: Python, FastAPI
  • Database RDBMS: MySQL with Alembic for migrations
  • AI Models:
    • GPT 5.2 for user-friendly responses
    • Claude 4.5 Opas for coding and academic tasks
  • AI Tools:
    • Litellm for LLM Routing
    • Langchain
  • Local Orchestration: Docker, docker-compose
  • Server-Side Orchestration: Kubernetes

9. Assumptions and Constraints

  • The user will provide API documentation and authentication details for third-party integrations.
  • The system will initially support integration with up to 5 third-party platforms, with the ability to scale as needed.
  • Automation workflows will be limited to predefined templates initially, with custom workflows added in future updates.
  • The project builder will include predefined templates for common project types, with customization options available for Admins.
  • The system will require internet connectivity for API integrations, real-time analytics, and project management features.
