The project "grand-bot" aims to develop a web-based application that allows users to search for keywords across numerous files stored within a selected folder. This document outlines the system requirements for the project, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the functionalities and technical specifications needed to achieve the project's goals.
The grand-bot project will transition from a desktop application to a web-based platform. The application will enable users to search for specific keywords within various file types, providing a user-friendly interface and efficient search capabilities. The system will be developed using modern web technologies and best practices to ensure performance, scalability, and maintainability.
The homepage will feature an interactive "File Galaxy" concept. Users will navigate through a 3D galaxy of files, where each star represents a file type or category. Hovering over a star reveals a preview of the file's contents, and clicking on a star zooms into a detailed view of the file's metadata and search results. This immersive experience will be built using @react-three/fiber and @react-three/drei for 3D rendering, providing a unique and engaging way to interact with the file search results.
The landing page will utilize a "parallax" interaction model, creating a layered depth effect as users scroll through the page. Decorative elements such as atmospheric blobs and distant shapes will move at different speeds, enhancing the storytelling and visual richness of the first impression. Internal pages will adopt a "static" model to prioritize layout clarity and reading speed.
This document provides a comprehensive overview of the requirements for the grand-bot project, ensuring a clear understanding of the functionalities, user interactions, and technical specifications necessary for successful implementation.
