If you don’t want to post your personal information online because of privacy, you can use a hypothetical name and information. Please discuss with me, if you want to use the hypothetical information instead of the real information about yourself (Developing your personal website and posting resume on the website might be helpful for your job search later on). There are two different tutorials which help you this assignment: - Website Design Tutorials (Module 3) for designing website content - Website Formatting Tutorials (Module 5) for extra credits. Criteria Examples (not requirements) Points Overall Design • Follow website design guidelines 20 Navigation • Easy to navigate across all pages 10 Homepage • Graphic, Encourages Clicking, Basic Information 30 Academic & Work Page • Promote Baruch and Zicklin • Project Links, Descriptions • Go beyond resume with commentary, logs, links to employers 30 Extra Page • Can be anything showing more about you (hobbies, activities, etc.) • Freely choose page name and design content 30 Downloadable Resume • The download link should be working • Resume should be in a good-quality 20 Total 140 Search Engine Optimization • If you provide a snapshot of your website being listed on the first page (within top 10 ranks) of search results for certain search phrases, you will get extra 20 points. • You can choose the target search phrases. • Extra points can compensate only for this assignment not the other assignments. • Maximum points of this assignment are 140. • For this credits, you don’t have to pay for the premium account, which might be helpful but not necessary.
