gentle-integrations

byGone Ranganayakulu

Integrations and “glue” around payment providers Rewardful (affiliate tracking for Stripe) is doing over $120K MRR, and other micro-tools around payments are reporting solid revenue. That proves there’s money in focused “payment-adjacent” utilities. Refund and dispute intelligence for Stripe/Razorpay. Simple dashboards, cohort analysis, and automated reminders triggered by chargebacks and refunds. Target: e-commerce and subscription apps that lack internal tooling. Cross-platform payout scheduler for creators. A central tool that aggregates earnings from Gumroad, Patreon, Ko-fi, and marketplaces, and helps creators plan payouts, taxes, and savings. Gumroad already proves the creator-payments space is big; a small SaaS that focuses on financial clarity is the underrated layer.

System Requirements Document for gentle-integrations

1. Introduction

The project "gentle-integrations" aims to develop a suite of payment-adjacent utilities that enhance the capabilities of existing payment platforms. These utilities will focus on providing refund and dispute intelligence for Stripe and Razorpay, as well as a cross-platform payout scheduler for creators. The target audience includes e-commerce and subscription apps that lack internal tooling, as well as creators using platforms like Gumroad, Patreon, and Ko-fi.

2. System Overview

The gentle-integrations project will deliver two main utilities:

  1. Refund and Dispute Intelligence: This tool will provide insights and automation for handling refunds and disputes on Stripe and Razorpay. It will include dashboards, cohort analysis, and automated reminders for chargebacks and refunds.

  2. Cross-Platform Payout Scheduler: This tool will help creators manage their earnings from multiple platforms, plan payouts, and handle taxes and savings. It will aggregate data from platforms like Gumroad, Patreon, and Ko-fi.

3. Functional Requirements as Story Points

  • As an e-commerce app owner, I want to view simple dashboards for refund and dispute data on Stripe/Razorpay to better manage my transactions.
  • As an e-commerce app owner, I want to perform cohort analysis on refunds and disputes to identify trends and improve my business strategies.
  • As an e-commerce app owner, I want automated reminders for chargebacks and refunds to ensure timely responses and resolutions.
  • As a creator, I want to aggregate my earnings from Gumroad, Patreon, Ko-fi, and other marketplaces to have a centralized view of my income.
  • As a creator, I want to plan my payouts, taxes, and savings using a cross-platform scheduler to manage my finances effectively.

4. User Personas

  • E-commerce App Owner: Manages an online store or subscription service and uses Stripe or Razorpay for payment processing.
  • Creator: Produces content or products and earns income through platforms like Gumroad, Patreon, and Ko-fi.

5. Core User Flows

  • E-commerce app owner accesses dashboard -> views refund/dispute data -> performs cohort analysis -> sets up automated reminders.
  • Creator connects multiple platforms -> aggregates earnings data -> plans payouts and savings -> schedules tax payments.

6. Visuals Colors and Theme

  • primary: #0070f3 (a professional blue for trust and reliability)
  • primary_light: #3291ff (a lighter tint for hover states)
  • secondary: #f5a623 (a warm orange for secondary elements)
  • accent: #e535ab (a vibrant pink for CTAs and active states)
  • highlight: #ff4081 (a bright pink for notifications and active indicators)
  • bg: #f7f9fc (a light grey for the background)
  • surface: #ffffff (white for cards and panels)
  • text: #333333 (dark grey for primary text)
  • text_muted: #888888 (light grey for secondary text)
  • border: #eaeaea (a subtle grey for borders)

7. Signature Design Concept

Interactive Financial Dashboard

The landing page will feature an interactive financial dashboard that visually represents the flow of money through various payment platforms. Users can click and drag to explore different sections of the dashboard, which will animate to show detailed insights and analytics. The dashboard will use motion/react for smooth transitions and interactions, allowing users to see real-time updates and projections.

Landing Hero Motion Brief

The hero section will depict a dynamic flow of transactions, where inputs from various platforms (Gumroad, Patreon, etc.) converge into a central hub. This hub will transform, showing the user's financial overview, and then disperse into actionable insights like savings plans and tax schedules. The animation will loop every 10 seconds, with interactive elements allowing users to pause and explore specific data points.

8. Interaction Model & Motion Direction

  • Interaction Model: Animated
  • The landing page will feature moderate scroll-triggered reveals and hover transitions, enhancing user engagement with spring physics on interactive elements.

9. Non-Functional Requirements

  • The system must be highly available and handle concurrent users efficiently.
  • Data privacy and security must be ensured, complying with relevant regulations.
  • The platform should be scalable to accommodate future growth and additional features.

10. Tech Stack

  • Frontend: React for Web
  • Backend: Python, FastAPI
  • Database: MySQL or MariaDB, with alembic for migrations
  • AI Models: GPT 5.4 for user-friendly responses
  • Local Orchestration: Docker, docker-compose
  • Server-side Orchestration: Kubernetes

11. Assumptions and Constraints

  • The system assumes users have accounts on the platforms they wish to integrate.
  • The system is constrained by the APIs and data access permissions of the integrated platforms.

12. Glossary

  • MRR: Monthly Recurring Revenue
  • SaaS: Software as a Service
  • Stripe/Razorpay: Payment processing platforms
  • Gumroad/Patreon/Ko-fi: Platforms for creators to sell products and receive support

This document outlines the comprehensive requirements for the gentle-integrations project, ensuring a clear path for development and implementation.
