1. Introduction

The gamma-saree project is an e-commerce platform dedicated to showcasing and selling sarees, a traditional and versatile Indian garment. This platform aims to provide a seamless shopping experience for customers while celebrating the diversity of saree styles, materials, and regional craftsmanship.

The system will cater to a wide audience, including saree enthusiasts, occasional buyers, and wholesale customers, by offering a comprehensive catalog of saree collections, user-friendly navigation, and advanced features like AI-driven recommendations.

This document outlines the system requirements for the gamma-saree project, ensuring clarity and alignment with the vision of Balachandra Magaji.

The gamma-saree platform will serve as a one-stop destination for saree shopping, offering:

• A categorized product catalog with diverse saree styles (e.g., silk, cotton, chiffon, georgette) and filters for occasions, materials, and regional origins.
• A secure and intuitive shopping experience, including payment gateway integration, order tracking, and customer profiles.
• An admin dashboard for inventory management, sales tracking, and adding new collections.

As a User:

• I should be able to browse sarees by categories such as material, style, occasion, and region.
• I should be able to search for specific sarees using keywords.

• I should be able to add sarees to my cart and proceed to checkout.

As an Admin:

As a Guest:

The homepage of gamma-saree will feature a 3D interactive saree showcase. Visitors will see a mannequin draped in a saree that dynamically changes styles and colors as they hover over different categories (e.g., silk, cotton, chiffon).

• Animation: The saree will "flow" gracefully as users interact, mimicking the natural drape of fabric.
• Transitions: Smooth fade-ins and slide-ins for category labels and descriptions.
• Micro-interactions: Clicking on a saree style will zoom in on the fabric texture, allowing users to appreciate the intricate details.
