4. User Personas

  • Kid: The primary user who engages with the phonics learning materials and participates in gamified activities.
  • Teacher: An educator who uses the app to facilitate learning and track student progress.
  • Parent: A guardian who monitors their child's learning journey and progress.

5. Core User Flows

  • Kid logs in -> accesses phonics lessons -> completes tasks -> earns badges -> progresses to next level
  • Teacher logs in -> assigns tasks -> reviews student progress -> provides feedback
  • Parent logs in -> monitors child's progress -> sets learning goals -> reviews achievements

7. Signature Design Concept

The Frosty-System will feature an interactive "Phonics Island" homepage where each section of the app is represented as a different island. Users can navigate between islands by swiping, with each island offering a unique learning theme. The islands will have animated elements such as moving clouds and waves, creating an immersive experience. The homepage will use @react-three/fiber for 3D effects and framer-motion for smooth transitions and animations. Users can tap on elements to reveal learning tasks, and dragging will allow them to explore the island further.

8. Interaction Model & Motion Direction

The landing page will use a "parallax" interaction model, providing a layered depth effect as users scroll through the content. Decorative elements like clouds and waves will move at different speeds to create a dynamic and engaging experience. Internal pages will have an "animated" interaction model with scroll-triggered reveals and hover transitions to maintain user engagement.

9. Non-Functional Requirements

  • The app should be responsive and work seamlessly on various Android devices.
  • The app should have a user-friendly interface suitable for children.
  • The app should ensure data privacy and security for all users.
  • The app should provide offline access to learning materials.

10. Tech Stack

  • Frontend: React Native for mobile app development
  • Backend: Python with FastAPI
  • Database: MongoDB for storing user data and progress
  • AI Models: GPT 5.4 for user-friendly responses
  • AI Tools: Langchain for AI integration
  • Local Orchestration: Docker for containerization
  • Server-Side Orchestration: Kubernetes for deployment

11. Assumptions and Constraints

  • The app will be developed exclusively for the Android platform.
  • The app will require internet access for initial setup and updates.
  • The app will comply with local data protection regulations in India.

12. Glossary

  • Phonics: A method of teaching reading and spelling based on the sounds of letters.
