System Requirements Document (SRD)

Project Name: frosty-hola

1. Introduction

Welcome to the System Requirements Document (SRD) for frosty-hola, a project envisioned by Maciel Cirias from the Dominican Republic. This document outlines the system requirements, design concepts, and technical specifications necessary to bring the frosty-hola project to life. The project aims to deliver a groundbreaking and visually stunning experience tailored to its intended audience, with a focus on creativity, innovation, and cutting-edge design.

This document has been updated to reflect new requirements, including a bold 3D design concept and enhanced functionalities.

2. System Overview

The frosty-hola project is designed to be a dynamic and interactive platform that prioritizes user engagement, creativity, and technological excellence. The system will feature advanced 3D visuals, interactive elements, and a unique user experience that sets it apart from conventional platforms.

Key considerations include:

  • Integration of locale-specific defaults such as the Dominican Republic's timezone (AST) and currency (DOP).
  • A focus on delivering a visually immersive experience through WebGL and HTML canvas technologies.
  • Scalability and responsiveness to ensure seamless performance across devices and browsers.

3. Functional Requirements

Story Points:

  • As User, I should be able to interact with 3D cells on the homepage, which display HTML content dynamically within a canvas.
  • As Admin, I should be able to manage and update the 3D content displayed on the homepage.
  • As Guest, I should be able to explore the interactive 3D homepage without needing to log in.
  • As User, I should be able to trigger selective re-run capability to regenerate specific sections of the SRD dynamically.

4. User Personas

1. Admin

  • Responsible for managing the platform, overseeing user activity, and maintaining system integrity.
  • Can update and curate 3D content displayed on the homepage.

2. User

  • The primary audience of frosty-hola, interacting with the platform's features and functionalities.
  • Can explore and interact with 3D cells and trigger selective SRD regeneration.

3. Guest

  • Visitors who can explore limited features without creating an account.
  • Can interact with the 3D homepage but cannot access advanced functionalities.

5. Visuals Colors and Theme

Unique Color Palette for frosty-hola:

  • Background: #0A0F1F (Deep Midnight Blue)
  • Surface: #1E2A38 (Charcoal Slate)
  • Text: #F5F5F5 (Bright Frost White)
  • Accent: #FF5733 (Luminous Coral)
  • Muted Tones: #6C757D (Steel Gray)

This palette reflects a futuristic, frosty aesthetic with vibrant accents to create a sense of depth and interactivity.

6. Signature Design Concept

3D Cellular Canvas Homepage

The homepage of frosty-hola will feature an interactive 3D cellular canvas that immerses users in a visually stunning environment. The design will leverage WebGL (via Three.js) to create dynamic, floating 3D cells that users can interact with. Each cell will contain HTML content that dynamically updates based on user interaction.

Key Features:

  • 3D Cells: Floating, translucent cells with subtle pulsating animations. Each cell will have interactive hotspots that reveal HTML content when clicked or hovered over.
  • Canvas Integration: The entire homepage will function as an HTML canvas, seamlessly blending 3D visuals with traditional web elements.
  • Dynamic Content: Cells will display live data, such as user stats, project updates, or featured articles, pulled from the backend.
  • Animations: Smooth transitions between cell interactions, with cells expanding or contracting based on user input.
  • Micro-Interactions: Buttons and links embedded within cells will glow or ripple when hovered over, creating a tactile experience.
  • Color Shifts: The background will subtly shift colors based on time of day, creating a living environment.

User Experience:

Upon landing on the homepage, users will be greeted by a mesmerizing 3D environment. As they move their cursor or touch the screen, the cells will respond dynamically, creating a sense of immersion. Clicking on a cell will expand it, revealing detailed HTML content within.

This design concept ensures frosty-hola delivers a one-of-a-kind experience that captivates users and leaves a lasting impression.

7. Non-Functional Requirements

  • Performance: The system must load within 3 seconds on standard broadband connections.
  • Scalability: Support up to 10,000 concurrent users.
