System Requirements Document

Introduction

This document outlines the system requirements for the development of the FounderVerses website, a fully functional, production-ready platform for selling eBooks, courses, and digital products. The website must include a real backend, database, authentication, and payment gateway integration to ensure secure and verified transactions before granting product access.

System Overview

FounderVerses is designed to be a secure digital commerce platform that facilitates the sale of digital products. The system will include features such as secure payment processing, digital product delivery, user account management, an affiliate program, and an admin panel for managing content and transactions.

Functional Requirements

Payment and Access Control

• As a user, I must not receive any product download link, PDF URL, course access, or digital product access before a payment is successfully verified.
• As a system, I must verify payment details such as Payment ID, Order ID, Payment signature, Amount, Currency, Product/order, and Payment status on the backend before granting access.
• As a user, I should be able to use Razorpay for INR payments, with proper integration for checkout, order creation, payment success/failure handling, and server-side signature verification.
• As an admin, I should be able to configure the payment environment securely, including test and live modes.
• As a system, I must deny access to products if payment fails, is cancelled, or verification fails, ensuring no download link or product access is granted.

Secure Digital Product Delivery

• As a user, I should be able to download purchased products through a secure temporary/signed URL only after verified payment.
• As a system, I must ensure that private files are stored securely and not exposed in public folders or through public URLs.

Product Purchase Flow

• As a user, I should follow a specific purchase flow from product page to payment completion, ensuring backend verification before access is granted.
• As a system, I must handle payment failures by keeping orders pending or failed without granting product access.
• As a user, I should only see options to download, read, or start a course after the payment is verified and the order is marked as paid.

Webhook and Payment Processing

• As a system, I must create a secure Razorpay webhook endpoint to handle payment events and ensure idempotent processing to prevent duplicate transactions.

Database Management

• As a system, I must create and manage tables/collections for users, products, orders, payments, and other related entities with constraints to prevent duplicates.

Admin Panel

• As an admin, I should have access to a secure admin panel with role-based protection to manage products, orders, users, and affiliates.

Product and Course Management

• As an admin, I should be able to create, edit, and delete digital products and courses, ensuring all content is payment-protected.

User Account Management

• As a user, I should be able to register, log in, manage my profile, and access my purchased products and courses.

Affiliate Program

• As a user, I should be able to register for the affiliate program, track referrals, and earn commissions on verified purchases.

Cart and Checkout

• As a user, I should be able to add products to a cart, apply coupons, and proceed to checkout with Razorpay payment integration.

Security

• As a system, I must implement secure authentication, authorization, file storage, and payment verification to protect user data and transactions.

Website Pages

• As a user, I should have access to various pages including Home, Store, Product Details, Cart, Checkout, My Account, and more.

Design and User Experience

• As a user, I should experience a premium design with modern UI elements, animations, and responsive mobile-first design.

Admin CMS

• As an admin, I should be able to edit website content without code using a database-driven CMS.

Notifications

• As a system, I must send email notifications for payment confirmations, affiliate activities, and other relevant events.

Security Testing

• As a system, I must undergo critical security tests to ensure the integrity and security of transactions and data access.

User Personas

• End User: Individuals purchasing eBooks, courses, and digital products.
• Admin: Authorized personnel managing the website content, products, and transactions.
• Affiliate: Users participating in the affiliate program to earn commissions.

Core User Flows

1. Product Purchase Flow:

   • User selects a product and clicks "Buy Now."
   • If not logged in, user is redirected to login/register.
   • User completes payment through Razorpay.
   • Backend verifies payment and grants access to the product.

2. Admin Management Flow:

   • Admin logs into the secure admin panel.
   • Admin manages products, orders, and user accounts.
   • Admin configures payment settings and monitors transactions.
