System Requirements Document (SRD) for Feral-Clothing

1. Introduction

Welcome to the System Requirements Document (SRD) for Feral-Clothing, a project envisioned by Diya Trivedi to establish a unique and visually captivating online presence for her clothing brand. This platform will focus on styling inspiration and showcasing designs, rather than direct e-commerce functionality. The goal is to create a digital space that highlights the brand's identity, connects with its audience, and inspires users with creative styling ideas.

This document outlines the system's requirements, including functional and non-functional aspects, user personas, design themes, and technical specifications. The project will be tailored to the Indian market, considering locale-specific preferences such as time zones (IST), cultural aesthetics, and user behavior.

6. Signature Design Concept

Concept: "Interactive Styling Canvas"

The homepage of Feral-Clothing will feature an Interactive Styling Canvas, a visually immersive and interactive experience where users can explore styling ideas dynamically.

Key Features:

  • Dynamic Lookbook Carousel: A horizontally scrollable carousel of styled outfits, each displayed as a full-screen card. Hovering over a card will reveal animated details such as fabric textures, color highlights, and styling tips.
  • Drag-and-Drop Styling: Users can drag clothing items or accessories from a floating sidebar onto a mannequin or model to create their own looks. This feature will use @react-three/fiber for 3D rendering and framer-motion for smooth drag-and-drop interactions.
  • Seasonal Transitions: The background of the homepage will subtly shift based on the selected season (e.g., spring, summer, monsoon), using gsap for scroll-triggered animations.
  • Interactive Color Palette: Users can click on a color swatch to filter the lookbook by outfits featuring that color prominently.

This concept will make the homepage an unforgettable first impression, blending creativity with functionality.

7. Interaction Model & Motion Direction

Interaction Model: Parallax

The landing page will use a parallax interaction model, creating a sense of depth and immersion. Layers of content will move at different speeds as users scroll, enhancing the storytelling experience.

Motion Direction:

  • Hover Effects: Subtle scaling and shadow effects on hover for interactive elements.
  • Scroll Animations: Smooth transitions and reveals as users scroll through sections.

Internal pages, such as the lookbook and styling tips, will use a static interaction model for clarity and ease of navigation.

  • Accessibility: Ensure WCAG 2.1 AA compliance for all users, including those with disabilities.
  • Scalability: The system should support up to 10,000 concurrent users.
  • Localization: Support for Indian locale settings, including IST timezone and cultural preferences.
  • Security: Implement HTTPS, secure authentication, and regular vulnerability scans.
