System Requirements Document

1. Introduction

This document outlines the system requirements for the Executive AI Platform Proof of Concept (POC). The POC aims to demonstrate the capabilities of an integrated AI-powered platform that processes entity-specific documents and data to generate high-quality reports and presentations. The focus is on proving the highest-value capabilities before a full production implementation.

2. System Overview

The Executive AI Platform POC is designed to showcase an end-to-end process that includes document ingestion, financial analysis, research, insight generation, and report/presentation creation. The platform will demonstrate its ability to handle entity-specific intelligence, perform financial analysis, generate executive insights, and produce editable PowerPoint presentations.

3. Functional Requirements

Entity Management

  • As a user, I want to create and configure an entity with business context and visual identity, so that I can manage documents and analysis specific to that entity.
  • As a user, I want to enter basic entity information such as name, objective, industry, and region, so that the entity is accurately represented in the system.

Document and Knowledge Management

  • As a user, I want to upload and configure documents, templates, and branding assets, so that they are available for AI processing and presentation generation.
  • As a user, I want the system to validate and process uploaded files, so that they are correctly indexed and retrievable for analysis.

Financial Analysis

  • As a user, I want to perform financial analysis on entity-specific data, so that I can generate insights and reports based on KPIs and trends.
  • As a user, I want the system to calculate and compare financial metrics such as ROE, ROA, and cost-to-income, so that I can understand the financial health of the entity.

Research

  • As a user, I want to supplement internal knowledge with external research, so that I can provide context and support for my analysis.
  • As a user, I want the system to generate research queries and evaluate external sources, so that I can identify relevant information and insights.

Executive Insight and Storyline

  • As a user, I want the AI to identify key findings and develop an executive narrative, so that I can communicate important insights effectively.
  • As a user, I want the AI to prioritize insights and connect financial movements to business drivers, so that I can understand the implications for management.

Report Generation

  • As a user, I want to generate structured executive reports using validated analysis and research findings, so that I can present comprehensive insights to stakeholders.
  • As a user, I want the system to maintain source references and use entity-specific terminology, so that reports are accurate and tailored to the entity.

PowerPoint Generation

  • As a user, I want to generate fully editable PowerPoint presentations using the entity's template, so that I can deliver professional and branded presentations.
  • As a user, I want the system to determine slide structure and content, so that presentations are coherent and visually appealing.

Review, Feedback, and Version Management

  • As a user, I want to review generated outputs and provide feedback, so that the system can make revisions and improve future versions.
  • As a user, I want to manage versions of reports and presentations, so that I can track changes and maintain a history of approved outputs.

AI Gateway and Model-Agnostic Architecture

  • As a user, I want the platform to support different AI models for various tasks, so that I can leverage the best available technology for each function.
  • As a user, I want the system to use controlled AI memory, so that it can learn from feedback and preferences to improve future outputs.
