The dron-app project aims to create a comprehensive presentation and informational web page specifically targeting businesses. This document outlines the system requirements necessary to achieve this goal.

The dron-app is designed to serve as an informative platform for businesses interested in utilizing drone technology. The application will provide detailed presentations, case studies, and insights into how drones can benefit various business sectors. The primary objective is to educate and engage businesses, encouraging them to integrate drone technology into their operations.

Functional Requirements

  • As a Business User, I should be able to access detailed presentations on drone technology to understand its applications.
  • As a Business User, I should be able to view case studies that demonstrate successful drone integrations in various industries.
  • As a Business User, I should be able to request more information or a consultation through a contact form.
  • As a Business User, I should be able to navigate the website easily to find relevant information quickly.
  • As a Business User, I should be able to subscribe to newsletters for updates on drone technology advancements.

  • Business User: Typically a decision-maker or influencer within a company, interested in exploring new technologies to enhance business operations. They seek comprehensive information and practical examples of drone applications.

Signature Design Concept

The dron-app homepage will feature an interactive 3D drone flight simulation using @react-three/fiber and @react-three/drei. As users scroll, they will navigate through a virtual landscape where drones demonstrate various business applications. Each section of the landscape represents a different industry, with interactive elements that provide more information when clicked. This immersive experience will captivate business users, offering a unique and engaging way to explore drone technology.

Interaction Model & Motion Direction

The landing page will employ a "parallax" interaction model, creating a layered depth effect as users scroll through the content. This approach will enhance the storytelling aspect of the website, making it visually appealing and engaging for business users. Internal pages will maintain a "static" interaction model to ensure clarity and ease of access to information.

Non-Functional Requirements

  • The website should load within 3 seconds to ensure a smooth user experience.
  • The system must be scalable to accommodate increasing numbers of business users.
  • Ensure compatibility with major browsers and devices, including mobile and tablet.

Tech Stack

  • Frontend: React for Web
  • Backend: Python, FastAPI
  • Database: MySQL or MariaDB, using Alembic for migrations
