The crystal-project is an innovative e-commerce platform tailored for the real estate industry. Designed to streamline the buying, renting, and investing processes, this platform will cater to both residential and commercial property transactions. By combining property listings with e-commerce features, the crystal-project aims to provide a seamless experience for users in India, leveraging cutting-edge technology and user-centric design principles.

This document outlines the system requirements for the crystal-project, ensuring clarity and alignment with the project's goals.

2. System Overview

The crystal-project will serve as a comprehensive real estate platform, enabling users to browse, compare, and transact properties online. It will support the following key functionalities:

  • Property Listings: A robust catalog of residential and commercial properties, complete with detailed descriptions, images, and virtual tours.
  • E-commerce Features: Direct transactions for property purchases, rentals, and investments, including payment gateways and order tracking.
  • User Roles: Support for multiple user personas, including buyers, sellers, agents, and administrators.
  • Localization: Tailored for the Indian market, with support for INR currency, local languages, and timezone settings (IST).

The platform will leverage modern technologies to ensure scalability, security, and a user-friendly experience.

Story Points:

  • As a Buyer, I should be able to search for properties based on location, price, type (residential/commercial), and amenities.
  • As a Buyer, I should be able to view detailed property descriptions, images, and virtual tours.
  • As a Buyer, I should be able to make direct purchases or rental agreements through the platform.
  • As a Seller, I should be able to list properties with descriptions, images, and pricing details.
  • As a Seller, I should be able to track inquiries and transactions for my listed properties.
  • As an Agent, I should be able to manage multiple property listings and communicate with buyers and sellers.
  • As an Admin, I should be able to oversee all transactions, manage user roles, and ensure compliance with platform policies.
  • As a User, I should be able to access customer support via chat or email for assistance.
  • As a User, I should be able to save favorite properties and receive notifications about price changes or new listings.

4. User Personas

1. Buyer

  • Individuals or businesses looking to purchase or rent residential or commercial properties.
  • Key needs: Easy search, detailed property information, secure transactions.

2. Seller

  • Property owners or developers listing properties for sale or rent.
  • Key needs: Efficient listing process, visibility to potential buyers, transaction tracking.

3. Agent

  • Real estate professionals managing multiple properties and facilitating transactions.
  • Key needs: Communication tools, property management features.

Interactive Skyline Homepage

The homepage will feature a dynamic, interactive skyline of a city, representing both residential and commercial properties. Users can hover over buildings to reveal property details, such as price, type, and availability.

  • Animation: The skyline will subtly shift between day and night modes based on the user's local time, with glowing lights in the buildings during nighttime.
  • Micro-interactions: Hovering over a building will display a pop-up card with property details, and clicking will take the user to the full listing.
  • Transitions: Smooth scrolling and fade-in effects will guide users through sections like featured properties, testimonials, and trending locations.
  • Color Shifts: The accent color (#FF6F61) will highlight interactive elements, such as buttons and hover states.

This bold design will make the crystal-project instantly memorable and visually captivating.

7. Non-Functional Requirements

  • Performance: The platform must load within 3 seconds for all pages.
  • Scalability: Support up to 1 million users concurrently.
  • Security: Implement SSL encryption, secure payment gateways, and robust user authentication.
