Accessibility compliance scanner and fix tracker This is the strongest overall opportunity because the buyer has both a painful problem and a fear-based deadline. The niche article I found explicitly says this area has real demand, limited dedicated competition, and real businesses already making $10K+/month in it. 1 4 MVP features: Website scan for WCAG issues. Issue prioritization by severity. Fix tracker and audit reports. Monitoring alerts when pages change

Crystal-Accessibility System Requirements Document

1. Introduction

Crystal-Accessibility is a project aimed at providing an accessibility compliance scanner and fix tracker. The primary goal is to address the needs of businesses facing accessibility challenges by offering a tool that scans websites for WCAG issues, prioritizes them by severity, tracks fixes, and provides audit reports. Additionally, it monitors changes to web pages and alerts users accordingly.

2. System Overview

Crystal-Accessibility is designed to help businesses ensure their websites comply with accessibility standards, specifically the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). The system will provide tools for scanning websites, prioritizing issues, tracking fixes, generating audit reports, and monitoring changes to ensure ongoing compliance.

3. Functional Requirements as Story Points

  • As a User, I should be able to scan my website for WCAG compliance issues.
  • As a User, I should be able to see a prioritized list of issues based on severity.
  • As a User, I should be able to track the status of fixes for identified issues.
  • As a User, I should be able to receive audit reports detailing the compliance status of my website.
  • As a User, I should be able to receive alerts when changes are detected on my web pages.

4. User Personas

  • Website Owner: Responsible for ensuring the website meets accessibility standards.
  • Developer: Implements fixes for identified accessibility issues.
  • Compliance Officer: Monitors compliance status and generates audit reports.

5. Core User Flows

  • Website Owner initiates a scan -> System identifies WCAG issues -> Issues are prioritized by severity -> Developer tracks and fixes issues -> Compliance Officer generates audit report -> System monitors for changes and alerts the Website Owner.

6. Visuals Colors and Theme

  • primary_light: #4d88e5 (a lighter blue for hover states)
  • secondary: #f0f0f0 (a neutral light grey for backgrounds)
  • accent: #ffcc00 (a bright yellow for call-to-action elements)
  • highlight: #ff6666 (a red for notifications and alerts)

7. Signature Design Concept

The homepage of Crystal-Accessibility will feature an interactive accessibility dashboard. Users will see a dynamic illustration of a website being scanned in real-time. As the scan progresses, issues will pop up as red flags on the illustration, which users can click to view details. The dashboard will also feature a live ticker showing the number of issues found and resolved. This interactive experience will be built using motion/react for smooth animations and transitions.

LANDING HERO MOTION BRIEF

The landing hero will depict a website being scanned by a digital magnifying glass. As the glass moves over different sections of the site, issues will be highlighted and resolved in a smooth, continuous loop. The animation will last 10 seconds, showing the transformation from a non-compliant to a compliant state. The reduced-motion state will pause the animation, showing a static image of the compliant website.

8. Interaction Model & Motion Direction

  • Intended Interaction Model: Animated
  • The landing page will feature moderate scroll-triggered reveals and hover transitions. Interactive elements will have spring physics for a polished feel. Each section will have a distinctive mechanic, such as morphing SVGs or kinetic typography, to maintain user engagement.

9. Non-Functional Requirements

  • The system must be able to handle concurrent scans for multiple websites.
  • The system should provide real-time updates on scan progress and issue resolution.
  • The system must be secure and protect user data.

10. Tech Stack

  • Frontend: React for Web
  • Backend: Python, FastAPI
  • Database: MySQL or MariaDB, using Alembic for migrations
  • AI Models: GPT 5.4 for user-friendly responses
  • AI Tools: Litellm for LLM Routing
  • Local Orchestration: Docker, docker-compose
  • Server-side Orchestration: Kubernetes

11. Assumptions and Constraints

  • The system assumes users have basic knowledge of WCAG standards.
  • The system is constrained to operate within the legal requirements for accessibility in the user's region.
  • The system must be scalable to accommodate growing user demand.

12. Glossary

  • WCAG: Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
  • MVP: Minimum Viable Product
  • AI: Artificial Intelligence
  • LLM: Large Language Model
