System Requirements Document (SRD)

Project Name: Cosmic-Phone

1. Introduction

The Cosmic-Phone project aims to create a feature-rich, user-friendly website for selling phones. The platform will cater to customers in India (IN), providing a seamless experience for browsing, comparing, reviewing, and trading in phones. The website will include advanced features such as product listings, reviews, comparisons, trade-ins, and account management, ensuring a comprehensive solution for phone buyers and sellers.

This document outlines the system requirements for the Cosmic-Phone project, detailing functional and non-functional requirements, user personas, design concepts, and technical specifications.

2. System Overview

The Cosmic-Phone platform will serve as an online marketplace for phones, enabling users to:

  • Browse and search for phones based on specifications, brands, and price ranges.
  • Compare phones side-by-side to make informed decisions.
  • Read and write reviews for products.
  • Trade in old phones for discounts on new purchases.
  • Create accounts to manage purchases, trade-ins, and reviews, while also supporting guest checkout for convenience.

The system will be optimized for Indian users, incorporating local currency (INR), timezone (IST), and language preferences. It will leverage modern web and mobile technologies to ensure accessibility across devices.

  • Surface: #FFFFFF (Pure White)
  • Text: #1A1A1A (Deep Charcoal)
  • Accent: #FF6F61 (Vibrant Coral)
  • Muted Tones: #B0BEC5 (Calm Steel Gray)

Theme:

The Cosmic-Phone website will feature a clean and modern design with a focus on usability. The color palette reflects a professional yet approachable aesthetic, combining soft blues and vibrant coral accents to create a visually engaging experience.

6. Signature Design Concept

Interactive Galaxy of Phones

The homepage will feature an interactive galaxy map where each "star" represents a phone model. Users can navigate the galaxy by dragging, zooming, or clicking on stars to explore product details.

  • Animations: Stars will twinkle subtly, and constellations will form dynamically based on phone categories (e.g., budget phones, flagship models).
  • Transitions: Smooth zoom-in and zoom-out effects as users explore the galaxy.
  • Micro-Interactions: Hovering over a star will display a brief summary of the phone (e.g., name, price, key specs). Clicking on a star will open a detailed product page.
  • Color Shifts: The galaxy background will transition between shades of blue and coral based on the time of day, creating a dynamic and immersive experience.

This bold design concept will make the Cosmic-Phone website unforgettable and engaging for users.
