Android App Development using GenAI- Madhu-Siri (Agriculture) 1. The Problem Statement: Beekeeping (Apiculture) is a great side-income, but bees are dying due to "Pesticide Spraying" in nearby fields. Beekeepers need to know when their neighbors are spraying, and farmers need to know where the bees are to avoid spraying during the "Active Foraging" hours. 2. Detailed Description (The Vision) Madhu-Siri is a "Bee-Farmer Harmony" app. It is a communication tool between beekeepers and crop farmers. Beekeepers "Pin" their hive locations. Farmers "Ping" the app when they are about to spray. This allows the beekeeper to "Close the Hives" for 4 hours, saving thousands of bees. 3. App Usage & User Flow ● Hive Map: See where the bees are in the village. ● Spray Alert: Farmer taps "Spraying Today" -> Beekeepers get a notification. ● Health Check: A log to track hive health and honey production. ● Bee-Friendly Tips: A guide on "Safe Pesticides" that don't harm bees. 4. Technical Implementation & Hints ● Real-time: Use Firebase forthe "Spray Alerts." ● Maps: Use Google Maps API for hive locations. ● UI: A simple dashboard for "Bee Health." 5. Impact Goals ● Biodiversity: Protecting the pollinators who are vital for food security. ● Yield Improvement: Bees increase crop yields by 20-30% through pollination. ● Sustainable Agriculture: Promoting "Safe Spraying" practices. 6. Success Criteria for Students ● The "Spray Alert" must reach all "Beekeepers" within a 2km radius. ● Hive locations must be editable by the owner. ● The UI must be clean and use "Nature/Honey" tones. App name should be ಮಧು ಸಿರಿ (in kannada only) with app icon as millets or crop image Application should have responsive ui with stunning animations and colorful and beautiful with quick response Android studio kotlin Working app

System Requirements Document (SRD) for coral-beekeeping

1. Introduction

The coral-beekeeping project is an innovative solution aimed at fostering harmony between beekeepers and farmers by addressing the critical issue of bee mortality caused by pesticide spraying. This Android-based application leverages technology to create a communication bridge, enabling farmers to notify beekeepers about pesticide spraying schedules and allowing beekeepers to take preventive measures to protect their hives.

The app, named ಮಧು ಸಿರಿ (Madhu Siri), reflects its cultural relevance to the Indian agricultural community while offering a user-friendly interface in English to ensure broader accessibility. This project aligns with sustainable agricultural practices, biodiversity conservation, and improved crop yields.

2. System Overview

The coral-beekeeping system is a mobile application designed to:

  • Allow beekeepers to pin and manage hive locations on a map.
  • Enable farmers to send real-time alerts before pesticide spraying.
  • Provide tools for beekeepers to monitor hive health and honey production.
  • Educate users on bee-friendly agricultural practices.

The app will feature:

  • Real-time Notifications: Farmers can notify beekeepers within a 2km radius of pesticide spraying.
  • Hive Mapping: Beekeepers can pin, edit, and view hive locations using an interactive map.
  • Health Logs: A dashboard for tracking hive health and honey production.
  • Educational Content: Tips on safe pesticides and sustainable practices.

The app will be developed using modern technologies, ensuring responsiveness, vibrant visuals, and seamless user experience.

3. Functional Requirements

  • As a Beekeeper, I should be able to pin and edit my hive locations on a map.
  • As a Farmer, I should be able to send real-time pesticide spraying alerts to nearby beekeepers.
  • As a Beekeeper, I should receive notifications when a farmer sends a spraying alert.
  • As a Beekeeper, I should be able to log hive health and honey production data.
  • As a User, I should be able to access educational content on bee-friendly practices.
  • As a User, I should experience a responsive and visually appealing UI in English.

4. User Personas

6. Signature Design Concept

The coral-beekeeping app will feature a "Living Hive" Interactive Homepage.

Concept Details:

  • Visual Design: The homepage will resemble a vibrant honeycomb, with each hexagonal cell representing a feature (e.g., Hive Map, Spray Alerts, Health Logs, Tips).
  • Animations: The honeycomb cells will gently pulse and glow when hovered over, mimicking the activity of a live beehive.
  • Transitions: Clicking on a cell will trigger a smooth zoom-in animation, transitioning the user to the selected feature.
  • Micro-interactions: Bees will occasionally fly across the screen, leaving a subtle trail of pollen dust that fades away.
  • Color Dynamics: The background will subtly shift between warm golden hues, creating a dynamic and immersive experience.

This design will make the app visually unforgettable and emotionally engaging, reinforcing the theme of harmony between humans and nature.

7. Non-Functional Requirements

  • The app must support real-time notifications with minimal latency.
  • The UI must be responsive and optimized for Android devices of various screen sizes.
  • The system must handle up to 10,000 concurrent users without performance degradation.
