The "cobalt-webpage" project aims to create a visually stunning and interactive web page that depicts a "Primordial Engine" — the birth of a primordial super universe with super instruments. This project will focus on visual storytelling, offering users an immersive experience through interactive elements and animations.

System Overview

The cobalt-webpage will serve as a digital artifact that showcases the concept of a "Primordial Engine." It will feature a central engine with interactive panels and animations that allow users to engage with the content dynamically. The page will be designed to leave a memorable impression on users, capturing their interactions and providing a personalized experience.

Functional Requirements

  • As a User, I should be able to view a central "engine" that represents a pulsing, expanding primordial singularity.
  • As a User, I should be able to interact with surrounding instrument panels, including an entropy gauge, dimensional flux reader, and chronon resonance.
  • As a User, I should be able to trigger "ignition" or adjust parameters to see particle explosion/birth animations.
  • As a User, I should be able to leave a signature or footprint when interacting with the page.

Signature Design Concept

The homepage will feature a 3D Interactive Cosmic Engine using @react-three/fiber and @react-three/drei. Users will encounter a floating, rotating singularity at the center of the screen. Surrounding this singularity are interactive instrument panels that users can click to adjust parameters, triggering animations of particle explosions and cosmic phenomena. The singularity will pulse and expand, creating a dynamic visual effect. Users can hover over elements to see tooltips with cosmic facts, and their interactions will leave a glowing trail, creating a personalized signature on the page. The background will feature a living watercolor effect that subtly morphs colors based on the time of day, enhancing the cosmic theme.

Interaction Model & Motion Direction

The landing page will employ a parallax interaction model, creating a layered depth effect as users scroll. The central engine and surrounding panels will translate at different speeds, providing a sense of immersion. Interactive elements will feature hover transitions and spring physics using framer-motion, adding polish to the user experience. Internal pages will maintain a static layout for clarity, focusing on content delivery without excessive motion.
